The bulb did not not work on my regular socket . What am I doing wrong? I exchanged the first bulb That I bought and got a new bulb. It didn’t work neither . What am I doing wrong? please help before I return the second bulb. Thank You.

The same happened to me. It looks like the Bug Zapper has a little larger diameter than a lamp, from a certain point, and the central contact was not touching when I screw it in, to install it. I tried other lamps in my house and half of them didn't work and the other half work OK. In the cases that it didn't work, the lamp receptacle was touching the plastic of the Bug Zapper half an inch from the bottom, or above the metallic thread part, preventing the full insertion of the Bug Zapper, and no central contact was performed. Use a lamp receptacle that is very simple, and it will work.

In a fairly small space there are enough mosquitoes that I am getting 8-10 bites/hr and could literally see them flying around me. Introducing this device to the space had absolutely NO EFFECT on them at all. Not one bug flew into it. They just ignored it as if it wasn't even there. Taking it back.

We had a drain fly problem and it was driving me insane. They had moved from the kitchen to the downstairs sump hole, so I had them in two parts of the home, and for the life of me, couldn't get rid of them. I tried spraying with bug bombs, which was a pain moving all the food items and dishes out of the kitchen, and downstairs to no avail. They seemed to work for the next day, but soon as any eggs hatched, they were back in force. I tried the natural remedies like apple vinegar and soapy water, which did catch a lot, but didn't seem to make much of a dent. I bought one of these lights and tried the kitchen first. and within one day, they were almost non existent. The next morning I did see a few, but by they afternoon, they were gone as well. Thinking I needed to leave the light in the kitchen for the egg cycles, I went and bought a second light for the basement, and experienced the same results there. For gnat, or small sized insects, this seems to be a miracle. I read a lot of bad reviews, and it seems the majority are using in some outside fashion. Looking to kill mosquitoes or larger bugs, and I'm not sure this is the intention of this product. If you want an outside zapper, buy a real zapper. But inside, for gnats or flies, these things work great. Far better then any fogger, and absolutely no work. The bulb is a little bulky, so space in your fixture of choice could be a concern. For me though, these 2 bulbs returned my sanity. They were driving me insane, and in less then 4 days, they thinned the heard sooooo much I barely see them. Just waiting for their breading cycles to overlap, and I'm sure I wont see anything. For 15$, don't waste your money on inside foggers.

It does good job killing the mosquitoes near the front and back door. Plus it gives off a small amount of light. I don't want a bright lite near either of my doors as the light as it attracts all kind of flying bugs The small blue lite is just enough Plus if I want more light I just flip the switch and I have a regular outside lite. The LED bug Zapper lite is little pricy but if it last for a couple years it will be worth the fifteen plus dollars.
