Q:What the operating pressure? What is the max pressure? Boilers should operate at 2psi but they can spikes above 5psi. Replacing all your valves because they break at 5 psi is a big problem.

Answer This Question
A:Â Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, the maximum pressure for our valves could be between 6 and 9 depending upon the valve, which is within the standard range for most valves. The boiler spike and the duration of those spikes from malfunctioning boilers are another issue entirely and has nothing to do with the valve. Our valves are built for use under standard operating pressures though there is some tolerance built in.

So far so good
It's behaving as it should, letting air out and steam in quietly and efficiently.
