A: The replacement pump you will need for the Portacool Cyclone 140 is part PARPMP00060A.
A: The Portacool Cyclone 160 is only one speed for the fan, but the temperature drop of the air coming out of the Portacool can be adjusted by the amount of water going over the media. If the media is dry, then there will be no change in the air temperature. If the media is saturated, the air temperature will drop as the water evaporates.
A: The short answer is yes, Portacool evaporative coolers will work in large warehouses. Evaporative coolers are designed to work best in areas not easily cooled by traditional air conditioning. This means ideal spaces have access to ambient air via open bays, doors, or windows. While there are some environments conducive to evaporative cooling use in an enclosed building, the cooler is not going to operate at its highest efficiency. In some instances, running an evaporative cooler in a closed environment could make the room or building warmer by increasing the humidity level. Our warehouse, located in East Texas, utilizes our Portacools to help keep our team cool all summer long!
A: I'm in a metal building with lousy insulation located in Oregon. The interior temp of this building during the summer is unbearable so that's why I bought it. It definitely gives relief, and feels great when it is being blown directly at you. It does add some humidity and adds the smell of wet cardboard, because the air is being forced through wet cardboard more or less. If you are looking to cool a work area right where the workers are, yes... go for it. If you are looking to cool a room, it isn't an air conditioner.
A: We use it in a warehouse in California.
A: Depending on where you are located, the temperature and the humidity levels, a 30 gallon tank of water can last from 4-8 hours.
A: 5 hours
