Somewhat difficult to apply. I re immense mixing small batches with an extender so it’s more pliable if you are layering or faux painting.

Nightmare
This metallic paint is a nightmare. Despite applying three coats, the roller streaks remained stubbornly visible and even changed direction with each layer. The final result was so unsightly that we considered putting caution tape to prevent anyone from entering the room. After seeing similar issues in other reviews, it's hard to believe that some praise this paint – it's almost as if they're being paid by the company to do so. A huge disappointment and waste of time and money.

From dull and hideous to fabulous
I had an old Sheraton type china cabinet. I painted it with the aqua looking metallic,back then it was called Ralph Lauren paint, and it looks amazing it's been about 10 years now and I don't even think it has a chip on it even though it's in a hallway . I took all the glass out and use the top for cookbooks and other books in the bottom for table linens.Very successful project. Sorry the photo shows all the contents in disarray because we are packing to move.

The secret of success with this paint is....
Let me start by saying I am a horrible painter. I will do almost anything or pay anything to not have to paint...Anyway my wife threw down the gauntlet and I was forced to paint my mudroom. Normal colors? HA! Not good enough for my Mrs... Oh wait she wants the door metallic?...@#$% OK Honey. So here is the secret to this paint...Do a good base coat, it is transparent hence the metallic properties. Also use a sponge roller to apply. The results will be phenomenal, even for novices like myself.

Almost translucent; very thin paint
Pink Blink: The consistency of the paint is very thin, almost zero coverage over a darker color. The attached photo shows two coats of paint applied by professional painters. Having to switch gears now and purchase the same color in an eggshell sheen (regular wall paint) just to get the required coverage, then doing a final coat with this paint for the shimmery effect. Extra labor costs plus extra paint cost make this paint a loser in my opinion.

Don’t buy
Hired a professional painter after applying 2 coats the same results roller marks ,paint brush marks & the consistency of the paint was thin.I’am very disappointed with the product at $60 a gallon which took 2 gallons not even covered all of the walls plus I bought a quart to paint a smaller area & same which was darker & the same results plus paying the painter double & purchasing a different paint brand. I was told by the salesperson that it’s easy to apply haha it’s a nightmare.

Horrible!!!
The swatch looks WAY different than when you actually paint it on. I just spent over $200 on paint and now I have to redo all of it.
I got “Copper kiss” and loved the swatch, but after painted it looks bright orange!

Not as shiny as samples and came out splotchy
First attempt at metallic paint so maybe I just didn't do it right, I did watch a couple youtube videos first and used a sponge roller for the second coat. The color was fairly accurate to the sample (though I thought it'd look good from the sample but looked terrible on the wall) but I didn't think it looked nearly as shiny or metallic and there wasn't nearly as much patterning as the sample. Maybe it was a technique or equipment issue but I'm not very happy with the results.

Beautiful finish!
Overall the paint is beautiful and easy to work with. I would highly recommend going to the PPG website and reading the color description before you choose your shade. I chose Stannic to paint my backsplash behind my stove thinking it was a medium/dark gray. It is gray...but a blue-gray. It's very pretty, and actually goes with some of my kitchen decor, so I plan to stick with it. I'll just have to be strategic with where I place certain items so everything looks right.
Since I used the paint for my backsplash, I added 3 coats of Varathane satin water based polyurethane so it's durable & can be easily cleaned. The metallic paint on its own is not very durable.
