Paint washes off with water and scratches off!
A simple remodel with a paint refresher is now gonna cost me to fix this mess. Paint washes off with a wash cloth. Easily scratches off. Rubs off. Moisture in a bathroom from bathing speckles paint. I'm so disgusted that something I was excited about turned into a nightmare. Now I have to sand all the walls cause this paint is a waste. 2 days of drying and it still easily comes off the walls. This is now gonna be a big job and bigger expense to fix then just a can of paint.

Comparison of 3 types of paint
This review had to be submitted in a short time after I received the product, so I cannot really rate the longevity or application over a period of time. Therefore I have just shown a comparison of the 3 types and a brief summary of the applications of each. Type 1 SPEEDHIDE 1 gal. White Oil-Based Interior Quick Dry Stain Kill Primer Type 2 SPEEDHIDE MaxPrime 1 gal. Base 1 Flat Interior Primer, White (latex) Type 3 SPEEDHIDE Pro EV Zero 1 gal. Base 1 Eggshell Interior Paint, Multi (latex) -------- They are shown in the photos in that order from left to right. As expected, type 1 (oil based primer) goes on the thinnest and has the least coverage. It is meant to have a top coat applied. Type 2 (water based primer) is medium thickness and medium coverage. Again it needs a top coat. Type 3 This one, (water based top coat) is the thickest and has high coverage even when used with no primer as shown. This base paint is normally used with a tint but I am using it as pure white with no tint added.

Great coverage and very low odor
Fairly pleased with this interior eggshell paint and the ease of applying to my projects. I initially wanted to use it for my textured ceiling in my bathroom and kitchen because it doesn't drip as much as other water and oil based paints. Unfortunately, being a DIY'er and attempting that wouldn't work out for me because the ceiling is about 9' and my body can't stretch. Lol. I had a heck of a time getting the trusnap lid from the can and lost patience so I hurried and did the wainscoting plyboard and one side of the second bathroom door. Very nice finish and doesn't look like a brush was used. The back patio door was ajar for venting but I didn't need to worry because the odor was very minimal. Dry to the touch in about 30-35 minutes but, I will wait for another day to recoat, which really doesn't need it, and to get the other sheets done and other doors. I should be able to cover 4 pieces and 6 doors. I'm happy with the white color too. Thanks!

                      Easy flow, easy to apply.
1st of all I'm not a professional painter. I am the weekend Warrior, who has a full time job and I And a honeydew list as long as my arm. With that out the way. I was repainting door trim in my house interior.. This PPG8 shell into your paint flowed very easy with no paintbrush marks. We're just a little bit of time in a little effort it made a huge difference take a look at my pictures. I ordered this paint online and the paint can came with a safety ring so it did not spill the paint in the Box before I gotten it home. Great idea PPG. I'm in the 3rd picture that is what the paint looked like when it's dry. Now 9 more doors to go.

Smooth coverage that hides dark colors
We moved into a home that had dark traditional colors in most rooms, including a brown that makes me think of a muddy river after a flood. Dark paint colors can be difficult to cover even with two coats, especially when you're aiming for a lighter color. If the paint doesn't apply evenly, you end up having to run more coats, use more paint, and take more time for the job. The PPG SpeedHide works exceptionally well in all the ways that count. The paint isn't so thin that it's drippy and hard to work with, yet it's liquid enough to flow evenly on the wall. We had a challenge with the mud color as it had been painted on over wallpaper, as well, so there was a lot of texture to cover. The SpeedHide went on easily and covered everything well. Before doing the entire wall, I tested the paint's results with the biggest challenge: using a coarse, disposable boar-bristle brush over a dark brown. Once the first coat had dried, I knew this paint was hitting the mark. It covered everything in two coats (see pic), even with a brush. With a thick nap on a roller, it should be possible to cover lighter colors with one coat. The paint meets the most stringent low-VOC guidelines in the US. The result is a paint that smells a little chalky and sweet, not strong at all. The chalky smell likely comes from the additives that make it flow well and hide dark colors. The odor dissipated so quickly I didn't even have to open the windows like I do with other paints. The paint's finish feels much more durable than the finish provided by other brands. You can tell a lot by touching a finished surface, and the PPG finish is going to last. Rated for concrete, masonry, wood, drywall, plaster, and ferrous metal, so it's a multi-use paint that's handy to keep around. The final result ended up being a nice, bright white. Not a blinding white, but enough reflective value to complement most colors.

                      Good coverage!
I needed a good interior paint that would have great coverage and believe I found it! Here are some facts about this paint. It dries in about an hour and you can go ahead if you want a second coat and do so in about 4 hours. So no more waiting forever to apply that second coat which I thought was a great positive. It's super easy to clean up I just used water and just a tad of soap and had no issues. I would definitely recommend this product and I hope this helps.
