I bought this thinking one coat would be sufficient, but it took three coats to cover up my room I had to buy two gallons in place of one .. stay away from this paint.

    Four coat paint
Yup thats what it took- 4 coats total to cover beige paint. Its was a nightmare... dont paint with this brand. Runny, watery and bleeds through. So you have to go back over and over again. I usually use top brands like Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore but since i saw Leanne Ford promotes the paint and I researched her website for colors she has used on her projects. I decided to trust her advice. Leanne or Steve this is the worst paint I’ve ever used. I painted several adjoining rooms. Maybe in Pittsburg they have better quality paint. Spent about $ 600 dollars because of extra coverage needed. Read the reviews... i should have .

Do NOT use this product. I had primed and painted my kitchen cabinets and doors using Zinsser oil based primer and the PPG Diamond, which by the way worked beautifully, it was perfectly smooth. A quart was only enough for one coat, so I went back to get more and the women made a mistake and gave me Timeless. I took it anyway. It destroyed the cabinet doors. That evening, I went around the grooves on the fronts with a brush, let them dry and flipped them over. I started rolling the back sides and ten minutes in, it began to clump up, leaving lumps on both surface and roller. Even if I had only used a small amount at a time, I literally would have had to change or wash the brush, roller, and tray with every 2 cabinets. The globs weren't all, even the first couple of cabinets dried with a funky rough surface, and the next morning I noticed deep unsightly marks where I had brushed. Basically not one cabinet was spared from this awful product. Keep in mind I used Wooster brand brush & roller, and I just painted an entire 900 sq ft apartment, along with one coat on the cabinets and doors using the Diamond paint, without issue. I went out and bought another quart of Diamond. Due to time constraints, I decided to just shave off the bumps and simply put another coat over the backs of the cabinets. However, the brush marks on front were so deep and unacceptable, I tried to sand them down with fine sandpaper, which only made it worse. The heat from the sander turned it into some sort of plastic like goo. Needless to say, I ultimately had to sand down every single cabinet with course paper and start over, it took hours and hours, my place is covered with dust. To be fair, I called PPG and they are sending me a check for the cost of the paint. Though at this point, the check isn't close to what it's cost me. I've gone through a ton of sand paper pads and tack cloth, had to buy more primer, rollers, trays, and brushes, not to mention 2 full days of work. I may as well have purchased new cabinet doors. This is no exaggeration, as you can see by the finish in the photo (yes, I used tack cloth before painting!). I wish I could upload more to show the brush marks and what happens when you sand it, or to compare with the ultra smooth first coat of Diamond. I can't believe this crap is even on the shelf.

Purchased this paint to cover unfinished wooden rocking chairs. Chairs cost $160 a piece. I am an artist and have been using exterior paints for many years. I never had issues and I have painted on all kinds of surfaces. I even painted a picnic table that had to have oil on it as the table was used to cook on. No issues and it's been years. After I painted these chairs they were a work of Art. Margaritiaville design to go around my pool. After completion and pictures of my work were taken it started to rain. The chairs were painted days before and had 6 days of 75 degree desert weather to dry. After the rain I was showing my friends my work and they looked like they had a disease. Bubbles everywhere. My work of many weeks was destroyed after one rain. The chairs are totally destroyed as they can not be revived being that this paint would have to be totally stripped. I am out of aprox. $400 due to the HORRIBLE ADHESION properties of this particular paint. I've used other brands to cover wood, plastic, cement and stained and varnished wood. No problems at all. This paint? I would highly recommend not using this paint to coat your home. I couldn't imagine the nightmare it would be to have to have it all removed. I should also mention I used this paint to cover 2 surfboards hanging on my wall. Both bubbled up too.

Done correctly this paint works beautifully
Yes this paint is the thinnest paint I ever used. That being said, with the proper tools and the correct situation this paint works beautifully. I painted bead board wainscoting that had been previously painted. I went with a satin paint in an ocean blue color and was painting over a semi-gloss almost neon teal. I was sure I would need. two coats. I used quality brush for cutting in and a thick roller cover. One coat worked beautifully. I can see why some are disappointed with the thickness of the paint, but if you use it with the proper tools in the proper conditions you will not be disappointed. Clean up was very easy.

            The consistency of nonfat milk!
A friend bought a gallon of this product for their bathroom. Pure white and painting over the same. This milky substance wouldn’t cover any scuffs, or even the slightest of blemish. I’ve personally painted for years. This is garbage.

This may be one coat but takes forever to cure.
I was excited when I was painting. The coverage was great. The next day when I decided to hang a mirror and my shower curtain rod back up it just came right off! Scratches easily. I'm repairing the mess but my recommendation is to wait several days before hanging anything or using the room you painted

For the premium price paid I expected better coverage. Paint is thin, and does not seem to cover as well as it should. Too expensive for not premium performance.
