1 gal. #PPG1148-6 Vining Ivy Matte Interior Paint and Primer

I recently decided to paint my kitchen cabinets. I'm a novice who choses to do her own work and cabinets are my LEAST favorite in the world. I did a bunch of research on what paint to use - always buy from the box stores. I'm familiar with PPG auto paint so I decided on PPG Ultralast. I was initially only going to do the center island but after the ease of painting it, I charged forward. The smoothness, leveling, and flawless finish of this product is like nothing I've ever used before. I have 28 cabinet/drawer fronts and only used 1/4 of the gallon with two coats! I will never buy anything other than PPG!

Im a professional painter 43 years. Ultralast is definitely one of the top paints ive ever used. Great coverage and leveling out . Great recoat time and durability. My customers have committed on the durability and the washing .

We had our house built a year ago and the builder used low grade flat paint in our garage. After a year of garage use it looked horrible and was not washable. I painted the entire garage with this paint and it's wonderful. I have tools and ladders on the walls that used to make marks, but now remains clean looking.

I bought this for my kitchen cabinets and love it. It bonds tightly, has excellent gloss retention (semi-gloss), and makes a very hard, stain resistant surface. My created this color for me.

Dries faster than average paint and doesn't leave such a strong odor. Save time and money using this due to not having to apply so many coats. I highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a month ago. I was actually able to paint two rooms with the paint which was nice! In one room, the original color was light so it only took one coat. However in the second room I was painting over a much darker color so it did take me two coats. I don’t really enjoy doing more than one coat, however since I was able to cover so much I was pretty impressed especially with the overall color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for PPG UltraLast Interior Paint + Primer, flat sheen, “Delicate White” color. I am a very experienced DIY homeowner, taking care of several houses and rental units in my spare time. Application was to drywall and trim for a 6-ft x 12-ft laundry room. The drywall was in very bad condition, including severely damaged paper, stains, chunks of missing drywall, etc. The damage was repaired by applying a coat of clear penetrating sealer, lightly sanding, applying a second coat of sealer, retaping, applying a coat of hot mud, sanding, skim-coating with premixed mud, sanding, applying another coat of sealer, and then priming. The drywall was comparable to a Level 5 finish prior to painting. I applied one coat of the PPG UltraLast using a high-density woven cover and soft nylon brush. Application was very smooth, with minimal drag, no sagging or running, and no splatter. Even with a soft nylon brush and no additives, the paint went on effortlessly. I was very impressed with how well the paint applied. After drying, the painted walls looked outstanding. The sheen was not as flat as typical paints; I felt it was closer to eggshell and had just the right amount of reflection, which will definitely improve the ability to clean the painted surface when it gets dirty. Although this application has not yet seen any abuse, I fully expect this paint to be durable and cleanable – important for a laundry room. I almost always apply at least two coats of paint and was prepared to do so in this case. However, the finish was so outstanding that I only did the single coat. Also, I have another small job on which I want to use the remainder of the paint. I consider PPG UltraLast to be an upper-tier paint. I highly recommend it and plan to use it in the future. We use this room as an entryway into our home and have always had problems with mold & mildew in there. The PPG UltraLast Interior matte paint & primer made it easy to get complete coverage in only one coat that took less than 4 hours to dry. The low odor made it easy to use in a smaller space. The clean surface technology makes paint go on smooth making wiping down the walls a breeze. Clean up was easy enough by just using soap and water.
