Spring and fall are great times to plant your trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials because its typically cooler, reducing the need for watering as often. That being said, trees, shrubs and perennials can be planted at anytime of the year as long as you're able to dig the hole, provide a well draining soil and water consistently when the top 2" of the soil is dry. Q:Do deer eat these bushes? I bought a couple of petite lime hydrangeas & deer eat off the blooms, 2 years in a row, just before they bloom.

A: Hi Kate ~ Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, hydrangeas are not deer resistant. Some of our plants are deer resistant; some plants are not. However, even “deer-resistant” does not mean it’s “deer-proof.” Deer will eat just about anything if they are hungry enough. You may want to try using a deer repellent such as PlantSkydd around the perimeter of your yard to keep deer away from your plants. A: Hello there Eileen. Thank you for your wonderful question. Panicle hydrangea blooms such as the Little Lime Punch, are not affected by the Ph of the soil. The color of the bloom is genetically bred to remain true. Happy Gardening!

Disappointed

Plant received yesterday with no lower leaves on it and flowers we’re turning brown. I immediately watered the plant and planted that evening . The plant has continued to loose leaves so I removed the flowers this morning hoping it would help. So far this morning I see more leaves dropping off.

Larger than I expected and in full bloom!

I purchased these to create a hedge in our front yard. I wanted something that bloomed, was colorful and was evergreen. We have a hard summer, very hot, and these were said to be very tolerant of the heat. I purchased the 5 gallon. I have not had much luck with the one gallon plants of any kind. They arrived in individual boxes almost 5' tall. We unboxed them and I was so delighted to see the white blooms and the plants are very full! Can't wait to see the change in color!

Faster than expected delivery however the lower limbs appear to be cut off for boxing so I will way for them to hopefully fill out again. I probably should have boungh this particular plant from the nursery direct so I could pick a full one but they were hard to come by from there.
