Nice Flavor. Won’t Set Your Mouth on Fire. I was a little worried about getting plants shipped to me. I won’t worry anymore about getting plants delivered. My four pepper plants arrived in perfect condition in their specially-designed box. I live in a cool climate, so it took a while for the plants to begin bearing fruit. After the daily highs approached 80 degrees…look out! The plants have become so heavy with peppers, I’ve had to stake them up to prevent the plant from falling over. We can only eat them so fast. So we don’t waste them, we’re planning on pickling a batch next weekend. The peppers I’m harvesting I would classify as an attractive, medium-sized jalapeño. The peppers have a fresh flavor with just a little burn...maybe a 4 on a 1 to 10 heat scale. I have no problem eating one of these right off the plant, while I’d give doing that with a regular jalapeño from the store a second and third thought. I’m growing these in my native soil mixed 50:50 with garden soil. Plants are on drip irrigation with a 2 day watering schedule.

great shape..
These peppers arrived in great shape and ready to be planted. They are approximately 8 weeks old, well established and ready to be planted. I have moved them to pots, but am not certain this is the best environment for them. They will most certainly need to be moved to the ground for more room shortly so the roots can spread and the peppers can thrive.

Jump-start your garden with these great looking Jalapenos!
DISCLOSURE: I received Proven Winners Direct Mucho Nacho Jalapeno 4.25” 4-pack free from Home Depot’s “Seeds” program. Home Depot only asked that I provide an honest review. I was not compensated in any way. The plants arrived via UPS in very good condition. There were four individual 4.25” pots carefully packaged in their own little holders in a sturdy cardboard box, which protected them well. Each pot was covered by a plastic bag with a drawstring, presumably to keep the soil moist but the packaging dry. It worked. Each plant is nearly 12” tall, with healthy looking dark green leaves, and several blooms promising peppers sooner rather than later. We will be very excited to taste them. WHAT’S GOOD: Quick delivery right to your door! Good packaging Good, healthy looking plants in good condition WHAT’S NOT: There was a minor snafu in shipping - I ordered these along with four other plants from Proven Winners. The first arrived on its own, despite the packing slip claiming all five plants were in the shipment. I received the peppers and two other plants after calling customer service. Still waiting on the fifth and final plant. There are only minimal instructions on the small plastic garden tag in each pot, which might not be a problem for experienced gardeners, but seems lacking. Check Home Depot’s website for better information Seems a bit pricey at $31 for the 4-pack SUMMARY: As long as you can be flexible with delivery, and don’t mind following up on the shipment, the product is very good

I received four beautiful plants and they couldn't have arrived in better condition!
I have to admit that before now I've never been a fan of mail order plants. When I did order from another source most arrived withered and more dead than alive. Much to my surprise these Mucho Nacho Jalapenos plants arrived sooner than I expected and in excellent condition. I got home about 4:30 in afternoon and it was a warm day. I have no idea how long they'd been out there on my west facing porch but they were unaffected by the weather in perfect condition. They had been securely packed in a heavy duty cardboard container and the cupped root balls were protected in a vented plastic bags. I potted two the next day and put two in the ground. I gave them all a dose of Vitamin B-1 as I do with all my transplants and I'm happy to say that all are doing great. They're even starting to form flower buds and I expect I'll be getting big Jalapenos soon.

Can't wait to eat these!
These arrived packaged very well - no shipping disturbance! The plants look very healthy and had quite a bit of growth. I had to wait a day to plant these but they did great. No wilting or loss of leaves. It's been about 5 days since I put them in their final home and they are still very happy and healthy. Overall, I would definitely recommend these. No peppers yet but I expect that they will do well.

healthy, small plants
I am comparing these to another plant in the same size range pot and they arrived a little smaller than the habanero plants but were a healthy, deep green and look terrific. I planted them as soon as they arrived and I'm looking forward to a milder pepper as the tag states. The plants shipped quick and were ready to be planted as soon as they arrived, just skipped the trip to the store enjoyed that they were delivered.

Nice, Healthy Plant
The plant arrived well packed, moist, well protected and healthy looking. It was much more mature than I thought it would be. It was advertised as 4.5" tall but was more like 8". Included with the plant was instructions for replanting/repotting and care and feeding tips. It was simple to remove the plant from it's shipping container and replant in the garden. Can't wait to reap the harvest! Nicely done.

Nice healthy peppers
I just received these pepper plants yesterday and they were packed very well and are extremely healthy. The new growth and buds on them are very encouraging. It’s too early to plant them outside, but luckily I added a greenhouse to my backyard last year, so I parked them there for the time being. I can’t have plants in my house unless I want to sacrifice them to my cats! I plan to check them this weekend to see if I need to transplant them into larger pots before it’s time to plant them directly into the garden. Looking forward to seeing these flourish as the growing season progresses.
