Does this shrub produce seed - or is it sterile? Also, are these guarenteed for a year?

This plant does produce seed. That's how they get their seeds and grow them. It will use it's own pollen and will likely produce seedlings that differ from its parent in subtle ways. If not guaranteed for a year, they should be. Because it was planted in bulb form. In order to make sure that it blooms, you have to wait until spring. Right now it's a wait and see.! Happy planting!

Plant now and protect it with chicken wire until it grows up. Keep it watered until it gets a start. Mine is in all sun. But I have other Rose of Sharon that are not in full sun. Mine had flowers on it this year and it's only about a foot tall. Good luck, I try to baby Mir a little.

I recieved two very small twigs, they do have a few leaves on them so I know they are alive but I was expecting more then this. I have not reached out yet to the call center. I will not buy plants on line again. I will just chalk it up to leason learned. I wished I knew how to attach a picture to this review to show just what I am talking about. Oh I think I found out how.

I can’t tell because the plant I received is only 6 inches tall, completely dormant. I guess I should have read the description better. Just very excited to have found it, completely ruined my landscape plans. It has a few leaves now, had to plant it in a pot for now.

Blue chiffon plant
I just received my plants. They look like dried up twigs, therefore I’m afraid to give it a rating. It is not what I expected to receive. Should I return these? Or should I plant them and give it a chance to grow?
