Product Overview

Invincibelle Limetta from Proven Winners blooms in early summer with spheres of lime green, which lighten to a soft green-white before turning jade green for the rest of the season. The flowers rebloom on strong stems from summer through fall, and bloom even in cold climates. Limetta prefers full sun, but in hot climates afternoon shade is beneficial. Prune in early spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on the stems. Invincibelle Limetta is native to North America.

Plant arrived very unhappy with brown leaves. And much smaller than expected. Hopefully it will perk up. It does look a bit healthier after being in the ground a few days.

This Annabelle type hydrangea has been growing noticeably ever since I set it out in the garden in the pot to allow it to acclimate. The leaves brightened up into a lovely color that proves the new growth is vigorous. While transplanting it, I noticed that the root ball is nicely put together without being overgrown in the pot. The stems, although very short, are strong. The flowers are not on yet because of course it's too small. But I've wanted a green-blooming hydrangea for a while to set off the other two standard shrubs already in the yard. I'm looking forward to watching this bloom. I'm especially happy about the reblooming aspect. Very nice to get two or more displays in the season.

I received the proven winners brand of invincibelle limetta smooth hydrangea plant. It came boxed very well for shipping. This is a reblooming shrub that is compact in size. It's the Annabelle type with green flowers and sturdy stems.I'm looking forward to seeing the blooms next summer. The bloom time is early summer through fall and it should be pruned in late winter to early spring. Plant in sun part shade. It will grow to 3 or 4 feet tall and should be spaced 3 to 5 feet apart. Should do well in a well drained soil. Needs to be fertilized in the spring.

This is the third time I've ordered Proven Winners plants from Home Depot and each time I've been very impressed with the condition of the plants upon arrival. I live in the high desert in the West and it's still gets to the mid-90s in the afternoons here, but the plants arrive in excellent condition if that is a concern you have. The packaging is well marked as containing 'live plants' with instructions to keep the plant upright. The plant is growing in very light soil but it was still a little moist. The root ball and plant were wrapped in plastic and all the soil was intact around the roots. I have no reservations about planting this in my yard and am sure that if it fails, it will not be because of the quality of the plant. I look forward to some lovely flowers next spring.
