Do you use pesticides on your plants?

No, they don't seem to be bothered much by bugs. If we have another plague of grasshoppers there's not much we could do about them in any case.

I received my pack of 4 and planted them over a week ago. I watered daily and they died. I am not...

My first question would be, did you have a touch of frost? I've planted mine in partial shade and do not water daily although we are considered "high desert". Perhaps yours were too wet or too much sun? Sorry I can't give you more information.

(What's this)
A pretty little splash of purple groundcover that has held up well in Colorado zone 5a. The Alyssum is a great addition to the garden. It provides a wonderful splash of purple underneath my existing trees and shrubs. It pairs well with Yellow Gem Potentilla and Amber Jubilee shrubs, as well as at the base of oak trees. The alyssum spreads outward, and has held up nicely in the Colorado Front Range weather: High elevation paired with sporadic temperature changes (we had snow in May!), the Alyssum plants have remained happy and blooming since planting last month. I look forward to a long summer of watching them grow. Having done some research, although they are often planted yearly, they are actually perineal - but you must do well to mulch/protect them from extreme cold in the winter.

(What's this)
Let me start by admitting that I don't have a "green thumb." I ordered Proven Winners Dark Knight Sweet Alyssum (Lobularia) Live Plant 4-pack on line to add color to my backyard raised flower bed anyway. The shipment was promptly received in a very well packed and protected box. I love the sweet fragrance just opening the box. The plants upon arrival were about 5 inches tall and already in bloom. Unfortunately, I left them in the box for a couple of days while I prepared the garden space so they were a little sad when I took them out to plant (note: Make sure to take them out of the box right away!). The plants perked up some once planted and well water. The next day I added a few drops of liquid fertilizer to their water, and they perked up some more. But then, nature struck. Spring in Colorado frequently calls for afternoon thunder storms, often with hail. The plants were beaten down by 1/2" hail stones for over an hour. Two days later another hail storm. The plants lost several branching stems, most of their blossoms and much of their leaves turned yellow and dropped off. However, they are hanging in there and greening back up! Sorry, no photos while they convalesce.

(What's this)
I have had real good experience with this company and their send-through-a-shipping-company plants. They always arrive healthy and the soil is always still damp. The pots and the plants have plastic around them but are open at the top so they stay warm but the soil can't fall out.. They are packed securely in special made boxes for shipping plants so the plants can't move around. They have vent holes so the plants can breathe. These plants were nice and healthy but when we planted them some of the foliage died but were immediately replaced with new, healthy foliage. Overall very satisfied with this company and their products.

(What's this)
I nice, compact little Sweet Alyssum. Good dark purple color. Very pretty and waiting for it to re-bloom. This took to transplanting well although you do have to pay attention to keeping it reasonably well watered. It seems to be generally heat tolerant, although I have it in partial shade, so that may be helping. At the moment it's unfortunately too soon to tell if it will re-sow and if it will remain true to color. Overall, it's a yes from me.
