Questions & Answers

In what temperature is survived on winter?

Asked by Irina October 14, 2017

Hi Irina, The Cora Pink Vinca is hardy zones 11-12, so it will not survive temperatures lower than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have any questions, please call our hotline (734) 654- 7485. Best regards, Fallon

Do I cut back to have these long strands bush out and continue to flower

Asked by Lainie July 2, 2016

Hi Lainie, You can cut back those long strands to the desired length if they are starting to crowd out other plants or if they are growing too tall. You can prune them in the winter or early spring and avoid pruning them during the summer while it is in bloom so the blooms do not die. You can also hard prune it every two to three years to keeep it from growing too large. I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, feel free to call (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

Will they grow in shade

Asked by Jim June 17, 2016

Hi jim, The Proven Selections Cora Pink Vincas prefer full sun, which means about 6 or more hours of sun a day. They are probably not going to do well in full shade and may have some difficulty growing and thriving. If you can provide at least 5 hours of sun a day, that would be better for them. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call our hotline at (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

Do rabbits eat vinca

Asked by Duckhooc June 12, 2016

Hi Duckhooc, Good news! Vinca is on the list of plants rabbits do not generally eat, at least not when there are so many other tastier things to nibble on in your garden. These beautiful Vincas are also heat and drought tolerant, and easy to maintain. Happy gardening! If you have any questions please call our hotline at (734) 654-7485. Best regards, Fallon
