Answer

Hey Johnny, we advise buying a plant that will meet your requirements, apart from needing to be pruned. This is because the spring grove Western Arborvitae may not respond well to excessive pruning. As far as which size plant you should purchase I like to stick with the one gallon or three gallon due to there maturity age. Our quarts are normally 6 months old, while our one gallon is about 1-1.5 years old, and 3 gallons are 2 years or older making them a lot quicker to establish themselves. I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us on our hotline (734) 654-7485. We are here to guarantee that you have the best customer experience. Happy planting, Jade

These are tiny folks. You can get a bigger size by going to the store. I guess they have them tiny for shipping purposes. I was hoping for a slightly bigger plant. I am high risk during this pandemic and I had just purchased a home that needed a little help. Thinking that I'll take this time to do home repair, because I'm blessed with an income, I decided to buy plants. If you are potting these f or decor, they are good, if you need to block a view in a year or so... NO.

A fast-growing, hardy, attractive evergreen
This tree arrived in a corrugated carton, marked “This side up”, and it was in good shape. The root ball, in a plastic bag, was moist and heavy. The branches were protected within the carton. And the tree was held at the bottom of the carton in case the carton was turned upside down. The tree looks in good shape. It has a pleasant evergreen aroma. I’ve followed directions that came with the tree covering storage until planting and planting, and the tree is now in my garage here in Connecticut where it will not freeze, waiting for a warm spring day when the ground has thawed and I can plant it. It gets some light through the garage window. I’ll make sure that the root ball stays at least slightly moist through the winter. We’re eager to plant the arborvitae. We know that arborvitae grow fast and are hardy, and this tree will grow to 25 feet high and 12 feet wide. Its description says that it is deer resistant, though we have other arborvitae that deer have eaten, and we’ve surrounded them with fencing. Planting a tree is an act of faith — that nature will provide sunlight and rain, and that future generations will enjoy its beauty and its screening. This is a fast-growing, hardy, attractive evergreen that is shipped properly packaged and with instructions to survive until planting and thereafter.

Held Up Extremely Well in Shipping
I received this product for free for the purpose of reviewing. The arborvitae held up extremely well in shipping. There was minimal soil loss due to shipping. Please see the attached pictures for the condition of the plan when it arrived. The bush is in really good condition. We will likely use it as a small christmas tree for our kids before planting.

BEAUTIFUL
A great Arborvitae from Proven Winners and The Home Depot ! This plant came in great packaging for shipping !! Proven Winners has done a good job of starting their products. It, when full grown, will be about 20 feet tall and 12 feet wide at base. Came well watered and vibrant no wilting !! I am very happy and look foward to a long and beautiful life span of this Arborvitae !! I highly recommend !!

Arborvitae
I received this arborvitae shrub and planted it immediately. It was slightly bent and would not stand up without drooping to one side, so I used a stake to support it until in gets established. It would have received a five star rating, otherwise. It arrived green and healthy looking, as all of my Home Depot shrubs and plants have arrived. You can buy on-line with confidence.

Nice arborvitae
I love this little plant. First of all since I got it online I was a little worried that the soil would be dry. His was not the case. Soil was moist and the arborvitae looked healthy. The plant was well protected in cardboard sections so the plant would not tip over. So far after Three weeks of planting the arborvitae has grown about four inches. We get rain almost daily and with the autumn this is the best time to plant. Can't wait to see it grow next year!

Not Best Purchase
I received my tree 7/10. It was beautiful, all leaves were moist and very green. I have it on my terrace and the sun hits that area especially in the late afternoon. All of a sudden it began like to shrivel up. Now to the touch it feels hard, dried up with brown in different places. Any suggestions ? Should I let it grow out? I'm disappointed bc I always wanted to grow a pine tree to decorate on the terrace for Christmas. Sending picture . Anyone who knows if at all there is anything I can do? Thank you. The cost was reasonable 19.99.
