Beautiful door!
It took a lot of time waiting for this door to get back in stock. It was worth it because I wanted the mahogany grain (so pretty!) in a modern style - not fir. It is a skin on core so this is not a solid mahogany door. Ours turned out lovely with some time and patience making sure it got finished right. We used a PPG window and door finish (3 coats) and it is awesome!

Not great for staining. Misleading listing.
This is not solid mahogany and should be made more clear in the listing. The veneer is also not a solid piece on either side of the door making staining look uneven. There are eight veneer sections on each side for a total of sixteen. The lines where the veneer meet are visible after staining and there are twelve lines on each side of the door. The wood trim around the windows doesn't seem to be mahogany at all. Otherwise the door seems well made.

The slab was nice, but is an odd height. Most doors in this range are closet to 80”, not 79”. But it was exactly the height the website said it would be.
