Visually the Palisade Buckwheat Velvet arm Chair is very nice and the fabric quality soft and nice overall, but the chair feels uncomfortable in that the backs slight angle is so that its not as straight (my preference) as say a dining room chair but is too straight to comfortably put a pillow behind your back. Chair seat high is okay but the back is short. The inclined side parts do add style but offer no arm support. The legs were easy enough to slide into the holes and tighten but the 2 back legs were tricky -got to fit your hand into the holes there with the allen wrench. The paint job on them wasn't too great but its unseen after they are put on. Seat is nice and firm. It says these are made to order in Illinois USA but looking at the underside as im assembling it is disappointing on the workmanship level. Chair`s unusually heavy to move. I wanted to love this chair and give it high marks due to its looks but id put this chair in a waiting room.

This is an absolutely elegant chair with very smooth lines. It is quite modern and sleek looking without high arms. The cushions, both bottom and back, are firmly well padded, and along with the seat height and angle of the back, are quite comfortable for both my wife and myself. I sit back and she sits up straight. The frame is solid pine with a well fit smooth velvet covering. The solid wood legs, (although assembly instructions also refer to a model with clear legs), attach easily and VERY solidly. It is so well made it doesn't need leveling legs to sit squarely on the floor. I am a senior citizen and assembly is so simple I had it together in about 20 minutes. The leg finish stops short of the female screw threads, which prevented over spray, so hardware fits together easily with no binding. This absolutely is hidden when chair is assembled. The total weight is 38 lbs so I could easily pick it up and move it. The proportions of this chair allow it to fit almost anywhere. Chairs of this beautiful design and material are always spot clean only. We really love this chair and strongly recommend it.

There are three places where my family can buy stand-alone furniture pieces. The high end stores that requires much sacrifice. The low-end discount stores where the furniture looks good but falls apart from casual use in two years. The last place is Home Depot. It doesn't break the bank, looks more expensive than it is, and lasts a long time. This is how I would describe our experience with this Palisade Buckwheat Arm chair. The hardest part is getting agreement with the spouse on matching aesthetics, everything else is easy. A very good buy and I recommend.

Great chairs
The chairs are exactly what I wanted for my office. The chairs were easy to put together (just screw the legs in). The chairs are firm but comfortable. The purple is true to the picture-not too bright. The delivery arrived 2-3 weeks early which was great!

Cheap chair
This piece was very cheap, and returned immediately. First off, make sure you are comfortable with the height. This chair was very short. The legs screw on, and felt very wobbly. fabric on the upper arm/back area was not fitted well and looked sloppy. price was way too high for this product.
