Do you screw this into the wood structure first and then use more screws to secure the roofing to strip? Also how many screws do you use per 24" strip? Thanks!
Asked by: DIYrookie
Yes. I used standard dry wall or wood screws, through the low points, but I didn't screw them in at every single low point. Reason being, the EPDM washer screws I used for the panels ended up going through these into the wood as well, adding additional support. Though I suppose if you wanted to, you could use more screws on the strips too.

Do you put these down the entire length of the support beams?

Asked by: Willywickerman
I used a 2' x 2' grid of rafters and purlins and yes, I had them on every part. Nowhere did my roof panels actually directly contact the wood.

Do you really need these? I'm planning a patio cover roof, at a mild angle, so I am guessing based on one review that I won't have much contact. And secondly, (if I do need them) how do I buy them? Not in stores, can't ship to stare, not available online...?
Asked by: Coop
Yes, I'm pretty sure you need them. I don't know. My contractor got them, and I didn't ask where.
