I ordered this Paragon 3/4 in. Universal Brass Tankless Water Heater Isolation Valve Service Kit with Pressure Relief Valve to use with my Atmor Tankless Electric Water Heater that didn't include isolation and maintenance drain fittings. This set is very well made and the included instruction sheet is easy to follow. The solid brass construction of these fittings should provide long service life. One feature I really like is that the valves are all ball valves so a 1/4 turn opens or closes the valve -- no tiresome turning and turning like you have with gate valves. The included pressure relief valve is a nice addition I might not have thought of with a tankless water heater. I can't wait to install these valves after I get an electrician to run the heavy #6 wiring to the tankless water heater location in my workshop bathroom.

Since our South Texas water heaters are typically attic installations, the multi-day, single-digit February winter freeze generated now-legendary plumbing issues. Aside from 13 days without water from our municipal supplier, we also discovered our tankless hot water heater drainpipe froze and created a solid ice plug. Subsequent flushing revealed the inlet ball valve was no longer sealing. We found this ¾” UNIVERSAL brass valve kit online to solve our immediate problems, with parts to spare.
This set includes 3 valves: the color-coded blue (inlet), red (outlet), and a thermal expansion pressure relief valves (rated at 150 psi). The inlet and outlet have side clean-out valves (cleaning and flushing instructions are included). High quality machining, chrome ball valves, all metal construction- including handles- with the exception of ball valve seals and cap retainers. Arrived well-packaged in a very sturdy divided box.
Using this as a replacement set is not a job for faint-of-heart first-time plumbers (I’m including somewhat intimidating “before” photos.) Moderate experience and proper tools are required. Paragon USA guide can be found on the Home Depot website under Product Overview > Info & Guides > Instructions/ Assembly.

The tankless water heater isolation valve kit is needed on every tankless installation if you want it to last. If you have hard water, it should be flushed annually. This kit makes it easy to bypass your water system and circulate vinegar from a 5 gallon pail with sump pump and a couple washing machine hoses through your tankless heater. The vinegar from mine turned a little bit blue and the scale washed out easily.

When we got one of our properties a couple years ago , it came with a tankless but they did not install isolation valves with it. Can't really maintain a tankless well(clean, flush) if it doesn't have one so we decided to put one in. Great kit. Comes with almost everything you need. It's not often used and its really all brass so it should outlast the tankless. Prob overkill and may not even do anything, but I added some food grade grease to the valves inside to prevent them from getting stuck when I need to turn them later. I do this with all my shut off valves.

The Paragon tankless water heater isolation valves are built to last. Solid brass construction with built in union for ease of installation. The valves and valve handles appear to be rugged enough for all the use you can give them, likely overbuilt for the recommended twice yearly flush of the system. I can see no reason to not recommend this kit whole heartedly.

These 3/4 in. universal valves (Hot and Cold) are necessary for installing a Tankless Water Heater (Gas or Electric). They will allow you to flush and therefore maintain your tankless heater to optimum efficiency. Very easy to install. (Don't forget the teflon tape) Union fittings are built-in and there is an included 3/4 in. pressure relief valve. Made of very durable brass, lead free. Ideal for low lead installations. I use these on my tankless water heater with great results.

Great valve kit. The pressure relief valve is pretty standard. Beefy but basic. The hot and cold isolation valves are pretty cool. Both sides operate the same of course. It's completely 3/4" so there's only 1 size to deal with, including the pressure relieve valve's output. Large ball valves are used for inlet as well as isolation valves. They are stiff and work very smoothly. I included some photos of that. I really like how they've built in a union to ease the installation. No fighting to get the last connection made or extra fittings needed. This is the best valve set I've seen. They put a lot of thought into this one and it shows.
I definitely recommend this kit. This is a rare 5 star review from me but it's worthy
