Totally new design
We have a small room that is used for various purposes including laundry and storage. It is a small room and needed a small fan. Our old fan was ugly and needed to be replaced. When I saw this fan I thought I would try it, and I am very pleased. It is so cute, the blades are retracted unless the fan is on. They deploy due to centrifugal force when the fan is engaged. The light is LED. Almost all of our fans are remote control, including one in our dining area. For some reason that particular remote is on the same frequency, but I am sure that the manufacturer will help us get that adjusted.

Universal little fan...
There are some situations where you just want and need a smaller fan. For a retractable blade fan, this Parrot Uncle seems like a good value: 3 forward speeds, adjustable color temperature on the integrated LED light kit, 2100 lumen (approximately 150w equivalent) extra bright light, two down rods, one 4 in, and one 10 in, and a remote control. It does not have a reverse switch, which I consider a drawback. And the light fixture unfortunately can't be dimmed. So, pretty good fan, but not perfect. Gonna be a while before I install this one. But I recently installed a similar fan, and so far, I like it.

Preassembled makes for easy installation.
I got this. Parrot Uncle ceiling fan to check out because I’ve never heard of a ceiling fan before that has retractable blades. So I thought this would be really interesting. Comes with instructions with pictures. Fan is not so heavy that it Must be mounted directly to a beam and does show connection to single gang outlet box, However it does not show any option for mounting on angled ceiling, The remote control has its own dedicated receiver and is wired in such a way as you could connect the fan to wall-mounted switches, Remote control has the following functions fan on and off and fan speed, lights on and off and a sleep timer. You Do not need lightbulbs for this fan it has a LED emitter. The fan blades are on a pivot and come already attached to the motor along with the LED Emitter which means there is a lot less assembly to do then with a normal fan, The remote control even comes with its own mini instruction manual. I would highly recommend this fan to anybody that wants to do as little assembly as possible.

Disappearing fan
This is the ultimate in technology. The blades retract and you have a very modern sophisticated ceiling light. Here is a four inch downrod that is between the mounting bracket and the fan motor. I think installation is not like your ordinary fan. There are layers to this and there is an included instruction book. These include how to install and program the remote. The white metal is very versatile. There are three blades each 16 inches long. The complete width is 36 inches with the blades out.the depth ,or height, is 18 inches. I think you could use it in an eight foot ceiling if it were placed were there wasn't going to be constant traffic. For instance over a bed or over a dining table. The rod also goes to ten inches if you had a ten foot high ceiling. It looks great looking into the box. The white is so clean and fresh looking.

Very modern and sleek style
This chandelier ceiling fan is such a nice modern style yet so simple. The blades are retractable when not in use which is so unique. The white is perfect for any room. There are multiple hanging options that include an extension rod to be used with the mounting bracket. There is a remote as well. We will get this professionally installed to be certain it is done properly.

Fairly easy installation and while the features advertised for this...
Fairly easy installation and while the features advertised for this fan appear to be very modern and cool, it simply isn't a good fan. The wind from the smaller blades doesn't move much air (even on high) and the light is insanely bright with no dimming option. A little pricey for limited performance. Just sayin'...

NICE fan
GREAT fan. This fan is pretty and very efficient. The light is bright. Fan blades are hidden and when turned on extend and cycle. Great light, good air circulation. So happy that I purchased this fan.

Good fan but only get one.
Bought two of these and could not manage to have the remotes not interfere with each other, thus turning on one in one room would turn off the other. Instructions did not make any sense.
