I had to sort through the lumber to find useable pieces. The store stocks and doesn’t remove the warped and bowed pieces.

    Be Careful
Boards like this are getting thinner all the time! If you're working on a new installation, this stuff is OK. But if you're repairing or adding to existing shiplap, make sure of the measurements! At least they tell you the actual measurements. Not many years ago shiplap boards like this were 7 1/2 " x 3/4", these boards are more like 7 1/4" x 11/16". You'll see the indentation where an old board ends and this begins. Worse of all, since the width is less, the seams won't line up with the existing boards unless you leave a 1/4" gap. And that's about the width of the tongue. That's no good--tongue & groove should fit together tightly. That's a real shame. A few years ago they sold the exact same size as shiplap from decades ago. So repairs were easy and invisible. I'd gladly pay a little more and get consistent sizes over the years. If only they gave us the option, I wouldn't touch this thinner narrower stuff.

Good looking siding when installed. Requires sone light sanding to get a smooth surface but a hand sander makes quick work of that and when painted it looks great. I've had many compliments on how it looks finished.
