Questions & Answers

Is it safe for inside the house

Asked by: Sandra
It's totally safe since it probably wont run for more than a minute without failing. Buy something that isn't terrible.

Is this analog or digital? If the power goes off for any length of time will it come back on on its own?

Asked by: Michael
It is analog. Two controls, one is off, fan only, low and high; the other is thermostat.

If the fan is turned all the way off and the thromostat is turned all the way down, will the heater stay off if still plugged in?

Asked by: Cold
Yes, I believe it will. There is juice to the heater, but everything on the heater is turned off.

Not sure what the h e ll you people giving it a zero are using it for however it's amazing in my basement. I even took this out to the garage during winter and angled under the vehicle and was pretty good during cold oil changes. Oh I have had mine now for two years runs perfectly on both settings still. low is low and high is high, never had an issue while on low with speeds of the fan.

The overheat protection constantly trips in the 2-3 minute range and then you are supposed to keep it off for 30 minutes to restart it. 2-3 minutes of run tim eand then it trips again. Quite possibly the worst thing I have ever bought from Home Depot. Burn your money to keep you warm it will do a better job and last longer than this pile of garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasts 2 years I bought this heater to heat my bedroom at night. I only use it less than two weeks a year. Even though I kept it in the box indoors, one night I pulled it out and the knob wouldn't click to turn the heater on anymore. I thought since I had the receipt the warranty replacement would be easy. Nope! Patton says they won't do anything, try back in a month. (When I dont need heat anymore) DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, DONT BE LEFT IN THE COLD, DONT CHOOSE PATTON.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only Lasted 3 weeks. Bought another heater online from HD, it arrived with a broken plastic fan, took it back to the local store and picked up this unit. It looked sturdy, I'm using it for a workshop space. Ran it for an hour or two at a time, sporadically over a month and today it failed. No heat, no fan. A small Pelonis ceramic disc heater that I also use is about 9 or ten years old...metal construction...it just keeps working. The main thing that I keep coming back to on a number of different returns is the "made in China," sticker, and heaters made with mainly plastic components. I would pay more if a heater had some quality to it. I'm returning this one today.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money! Very poor performance, and apparently not well built. The fan speed switch actually works in reverse...moving to high slows the fan, and moving to the low setting blows faster air - but then it's cold as the heating element is insufficient to warm the faster blowing air. How ridiculous is that!?!? Presumably if one wants the fan on high, it's to heat faster, and this unit will only blow miserably cold air at anything but the lowest fan setting. As others have said it does look good, but the performance and backwards fant switch makes it a terrible product.. It claims to be for a "Medium" size space, but is totally ineffective.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works poorly when it's very cold in the room Purchased this heater to take the chill out of a detached garage. Today it was 32 degrees F in the garage so i turned this heater on high. The heating element started to glow bright orange like it presumably should, but the blower was spinning very slowly. It wasn't really moving any air at all, which is obviously not a good thing. Well apparently the heater sensed that the glowing element was getting too hot so it shut itself down. Does that sound like a quality heater? I'm returning it today and I would not suggest that anyone purchase it.
