Product Overview

This pre-pasted wall liner is ideal for covering troubled walls. It is used as a layer between the wall and the actual wallpaper. It can cover, uneven plaster, brick, paneling and many other surfaces. (The surface MUST be prepared according to the directions) In most cases this product is hung horizontally while the final product is hung vertically. Can you get this in light peach?

No, you can't get this in light peach

Angele

Yes, you can use this over existing wallpaper then paint, make sure the existing surface is clean and follow directions on the Patton Heavy Duty Prepasted Wall Liner package.

we've tried adding more plaster to fill in the gaps and it still looks terrible.. after we sand I just still dont think the problem will be solved.. wondering if this wallpaper before painting would work?

I have viewed your picture and I can say that the wall liner would help smooth the surface and it CAN be painted. It is typically used to cover troubled surfaces, such as paneling, plaster, cinder block, etc. and then paper is hung over it however, it can be painted. It will take more than one coat as it is a porous product. We also carry a line of paintable wallpapers that are specifically meant for troubled walls. They are used over the same type of surfaces and is manufactured with a "blown" vinyl on the surface which gives the product an advantage over a simple wall liner. The Home Depot carries them as well. Some have pattern on them and there are a few that are very simple in design. If you are trying more for just a painted look the wall liner might be what you are looking for. I would suggest that you hang a strip first to see if it is going to cover the way you want it to. Good luck!!

Nicole

Yes, you can paint over it but it is very porous and will absorb a large amount of the first coat. Additional coats will be necessary.
