How many do you need to make a circle? And how.large is it?

Measure the diameter of the circle and multiply that number times pi. (3.14). this will give you the circumference of the ring around your tree or whatever. The stones are 12" long. So for example: Diameter of the ring of stones is 6 feet x 3.14 pi = 18.8 rounded off to the next higher number gives you 19. so you need 19 12" stones to make a 6 foot circle.

I'm building a tree ring out of these edgers. How many edgers would I need for a 9 foot diameter circle. Also, is red the only color that them come in.

9 foot diameter is 9 x pi circumference, or about 27.24 feet. Each of these is 1 foot long. You will need 28, You may need to trim one a bit.

You will need about 19 each to make a 6 feet diameter circle. I used 12each to make a perfect circle of 46 inches in diameter (23 " from center point. Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from could be better Agreed it would be nice to have an exact list of sizes. however if 9 of them = 36 then you can cross multiply and divide. for example I want a 48 inch circle, 9 / 36 = x / 48 .... so 48 * 9 = 432 / 36 = 12 edgers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pavers I called the store in Knightdale to find out about this product and how to calculate it...a nice young woman named Cathy figured it for me...36-inch diameter takes 9 pavers; she actually figured it out for me by taking the pavers and stepping out the circle I needed to surround my mail box...not only is this a good product, Cathy made my Home Depot Day. She should get a raise! In today's world we think computers solve everything...Cathy's ancestors probably built the pyramids with these pavers!
