I have purchased approximately 3 palates of this item to build planters, edging, and a retaining wall for an island planter. They look nice, are consistently sized and have a rear bottom lip to ensure alignment. I've used them for backyard projects over the past three years with no problems.

First time DIY of this kind. Replaced rotted landscape timbers with this stone. Compacted the earth with a tamping tool and used minimal sand for leveling where necessary. Hardest part was figuring the number of stones needed because of the slopes of the land. Used a level on the bottom layer of stones. Once the first levels were down the rest was easy! To make the 90 turns I just butted the cut of the stones together. This was a project for my mother-in-law and she decided not to top off with cap stones. For a decorative small retaining wall I definitely recommend this type with the self aligning lip.

Good Value and easy to work with
These blocks are a good price compared to other vendors in the Colorado area. Very easy to stack. Not sure why the other reviewer gave 2 stars. Color is very consistent across the 4-5 pallets I purchased for (2) retaining walls and (2) tree rings. I didn't see any good photos online so here are a few of my projects. They are 22 lbs. each so keep that in mind when buying. A pallet of 144 is 3,168 lbs., and probably beyond the hauling capacity of most trucks, unless you have a super duty which we used to haul 2 pallets at a time with.

Chip easily if thrown around. Gently place them and they do a sturdy job
