Fire pit insert rumble stone l need to order

Need this week before Feb 5
Asked by: Dink
I used the "31 in. Fire Pit Steel Insert" - internet part #300262311. It wasn't available in store, but shipped quickly to my house. My fire pit is 4 rings of stones tall, and the insert fits perfectly inside.

Can this brick be used to sorround a fire pit?

Will it take the heat and not crack and crumble? I used regular concrete block and they cracked and crumbled. The description says "garden stone". I want to be sure it can be used for extreme heat applications.

How many of these and minis to make a circle with an outside diameter of 55”?
Asked by: Stick
Stick66, I have a great fire pit that I made myself from Home Depot concrete block.. Mine is 45" in diameter and uses 12 "Trap" shaped blocks, plus 12 2" rectangular shaped blocks between every Trap block. I looks great and works very well. For 55 inches, I would just lay out 1 layer of 14 and see if that is the right size, if not, just add a block at a time until you get exactly what you want. OR, draw a circle the size you want and just add blocks until you fill that circle. It is really simple. We use our fire pit often for roasting marsh mellows and hot dogs when the grand kids are here and they love it. It is simple to do once you get the first row set. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do our fire pit.
