I was happy with the system until I got it installed. All connections are great and to my shockin...
I was happy with the system until I got it installed. All connections are great and to my shocking surprise there is a leak during the regen cycle. That’s the last thing anyone wants, you complete installation and then it leaks from a faulty head on the tank. Now I have to return it and get a new system.

Great Softener, Easy Install
Great unit. I got rid of my leased Culligan softener and put this in. Great decision—a couple pex fitting changes and I was in business. Doesnt use much salt and I tested the hardess at <1 gpg after a couple days of use. Very happy

Overall, I'm very pleased with this softener. I replaced a Culligan system that was about 20 years old, so it was time to go. Installation (DIY) was straightforward although I did have to get a transition connector to go from the 5/8" drain hose that was part of the Culligan system to the 1/2" drain hose that comes with the Pelican system. The water input and output mechanism with the Pelican allows movement of the water lines a little bit so precision measurements of the copper pipes is not required.
The only drawback I notice is the initial regen cycle is very loud, but this only lasts about 5 minutes. My regen happens in the middle of the night so I don't notice it. If you have a bedroom next to where you install it, and the walls are thin, this could be an issue for some.
