Ground Grip Mulch & Rock Glue is a ready to use solution that locks your landscaping in place. It works on mulch, pea gravel, rock, stone, and pine straw. The formula applies light blue and dries clear, which helps you see exactly where the product has been applied before it sets. For best results, use on a dry, sunny day with no rain forecast for 24 hours. Apply in thin, even layers with a sprayer or watering can to create a consistent, water permeable bond that keeps landscaping areas tidy without affecting natural drainage. Ground Grip is safe for people, pets, and plants when used as directed. It is a great solution for landscaping beds, pathways, patios including pea gravel, and decorative rock areas where a clean, finished look is desired. The ready to use glue keeps the process simple compared to products that require mixing and helps homeowners maintain beautiful, low maintenance outdoor spaces.

Hi! Yes, you can plant flowers after applying Pennington Ground Grip. You may need to break through or move aside the bonded mulch or rock to access the soil for planting. After planting, you can reposition the landscaping material around your flowers and reapply Ground Grip as needed. Thank you for your question!
Hi! Once Ground Grip has fully dried, it is designed to help hold gravel and other landscaping materials in place. A leaf blower can be used to remove leaves and light debris; however, we recommend using a lower setting and keeping the blower a reasonable distance from the treated surface, as high-powered airflow could loosen smaller or lightweight gravel. Thank you!
Hi! After applying Ground Grip, we recommend cleaning your sprayer immediately after use to prevent the product from drying inside the sprayer or nozzle. Empty any remaining product, then thoroughly rinse the tank, hose, wand, and nozzle with clean water until the water runs clear. Always follow your sprayer manufacturer’s cleaning instructions as well.
Hi! Before applying Ground Grip, make sure the area is clean, dry, and free of loose debris, weeds, and standing water. Level and compact the pathway as much as possible, particularly on sloped areas, and make sure the mulch or rock you are treating is evenly distributed and stable before application. Ground Grip is intended to help hold landscaping materials such as mulch and rock in place and is not designed to stabilize bare sand on its own. If you have questions about your specific pathway or application, please give us a call at 1-800-285-7333. We’ll be happy to help!
Hi! One gallon of Pennington Ground Grip covers up to approximately 150 sq. ft. per coat under ideal conditions. For a 400 sq. ft. area, you’ll need approximately 3 gallons for one coat. For best performance, we recommend applying 2–3 coats, which would require approximately 6–8 gallons total. Actual coverage may vary depending on the type and size of mulch or rock and the application rate. Thank you!
Hi! There is not a specific minimum outdoor application temperature listed for Ground Grip. For best results, apply the product to a clean, dry surface on a dry day with no rain expected for at least 24 hours. Please keep in mind that cooler temperatures can increase drying and curing time. If you have additional questions about applying the product in your specific conditions, please give us a call at 1-800-285-7333. Thank you!
