Product Overview

  • Produces clean, clear Mineral Water on Tap
  • Creates good water for plants, gardens
  • Pressure is regulated
HydroGardener Remineralizing Reverse Osmosis system for hydroponics and gardening delivers pH Balanced Mineral Water on Tap by first stripping the water clean, removing 98% of contaminants using the reverse osmosis (RO) process, sediment and carbon filtration then channels the water through the advanced remineralization system to add (15-30 PPM) calcium and magnesium minerals. The HydroGardener creates the best possible water for your plants and garden. The HydroGardener solves many of the problems associated with traditional RO systems. Traditional RO systems produce water that is deminerialized and slightly acidic. The HydroGardener reminerializes the water, adding a small amount of cal/mag minerals (15-30 mg/l) because it’s easier to acid-down than cal/mag up. In designing the HydroGardener a sophisticated combination of flow restriction components were integrated into the system architecture to regulate pressure in the high efficiency 150 GPD membrane chamber for optimized purification and minimized (2:1) waste water production. Suggested application: connect to 20 Gal. reservoir with a float valve or a drip system and allow 4 hour fill-time (70 psi, 77F, 250 PPM load). For kitchen applications use model #TMAFC or #TMUL. In the box: Assembled purification unit, 1 year of filters, 3/8 in. feed water adapter with shut off, garden hose adapter, 150 GPD TFC RO membrane, drain saddle, instructions.
  • Exceptional purification removes up to 98% of chlorine, chemicals, heavy metals, sediment, and other contaminants healthier water for happier plants
  • Built-in cal/mag delivery system adds 15-30 PPM cal/mag
  • Superior design uses modular filters where the filter element and the filter housing are all-in-one assembly for quick and easy annual filter changes no wrenches necessary
  • High efficiency reverses osmosis membrane - 150 Gal. per day, 2 to 1 waste ratio
  • Pure, healthy mineral water quality with greater convenience, lower price and reduced carbon footprint when compared with buying bottled water
  • No electricity required
  • Suggested application: connect to reservoir or drip system

Questions & Answers

Will this work with well water high in iron?

Asked by: Vender
My tap water has high iron content. This unit works fine with it. When I check the Total Dissolved Solids, the water coming from this unit is (for me) 17 PPM as compared to the 380 PPM of unknown particulates of my tap water. I may need to change filters a bit sooner than recommended because of it. I hope this helps someone. Mike.

Can I use this for drinking?

As a landscaping company who wastes a lot of time and money going to fill up our water coolers at an ice and water vending machine, we are interested in buying something like this for drinking. My only concern is the added calcium and magnesium. While good for humans, I'm not sure about the amounts.
Asked by: Buggamnke
I own one of these units and have been using it since 8/24 (about 6 weeks). My water is horrible. I have a 3 stage whole house filter and it checks 380 ppm AFTER the filter. Because I have no idea what those 380 ppm consist of and the fact that my water tastes bad, I've been buying approximately 15 gallons per week of R.O. water from my local grocery store for about 20 years. I am now in my mid 60s, and carrying those 5 gallon bottles has gotten difficult, so I decided to purchase my own R.O. unit. I spent a lot of time pouring over ads, comparing different make and models. I also drink Ice Mountain water. I checked it at 145 PPM. I got sold on this one because it adds 15-30 PPM into empty water (mine settled on 17 PPM). I haven't looked up how much calcium and magnesium is too much, but these numbers are so small, I doubt it effects anything but the taste. I'm pretty sure that a Bing or Google search could answer that question for you. The same company offers a unit for the kitchen (Home Master Ultra Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System). Comparing both ads, I've determined that the only difference between the HydroGardener and the under the sink model is the under sink includes a faucet, a storage tank and an automatic shut off (for when tank is full). These extra add $150 to the cost for the under sink model. I don't mind waiting for my pitchers to fill, so I saved the cash. The water tastes much better than the water I bought from the store. That store R.O. water checks between 0-2 PPM. I have no scientific facts to base any of this on, just my experience using it. :) I hope this has been some help for you, Mike.

I've been using it for about a month and am very happy with it. I used to buy about 15 gals per week. Carrying those 5 gallon bottles was awkward. No more bottle carrying, just run as much as I need for the day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good unit - After purchasing and installing the unit I did run into a couple small problems, called Perfect water and they corrected the problem quickly. For California users and other that have city water containing Chloramines you will need the filter pack for the pro-Model that removes the chloramines prior to the R.O. Membrane. Outstanding to find an R.O. unit that works well for us Hydroponic Gardeners, higher/faster fill rate than other units I've used. The re-mineralizer works nicely, and did in fact make P.H. balancing my system quit easy. The unit produced a solid 2:1 ratio for me. 2 gallons waste, for one gallon product. City water 400 PPM Product water 28 PPM Waste Water 720+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly Product was easy to install and works flawlessly. Have pumped over 350 gallons through, and also hooked up to ice maker in kitchen. Handles all my demands without a hitch. No leaks, no clogs. Worth the money and I love the cal/mag resupply filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good water for your plants This is a good water filter for hydroponics and gardening. I would have given it 5 stars because it performs as advertised except the waste ratio is more like 1 to 1.
