For a beautiful finished look, the Pergo 5 in 1 multifunctional molding can be used as a stair nose coordinating with the laminate planks that cover your steps. Simply install this aluminum stair nose track and click the molding into place for a secure fit. The stair nose track comes with a 2mm shim that raises the plank to the appropriate height of the stair nose molding. This aluminum track is designed for use with a 10mm plank with or without attached underlayment. You will need a few additional tools and materials to finish your stair nose installation. Wrong Track and No Help from Home Depot

The track that Home Depot stocks does not match Pergo's installation instructions. The HD track does not come with a white strip, blue strip, nor does it have the extra extrusion on the long side. The only help I've gotten is to order it online but that still has the same sku and wait another 1.5 weeks and hope for the best... I've been to 5 stores in the area and all the same. I'd like a more definitive answer if the warehouse has the right one. Otherwise I may have wasted my time gluing the risers on (and cutting and drilling the wrong track - which HD will likely not allow me to return).

I ordered this track as well as the 5-in-1 molding to use as a stair nose on my open sided stairs.
At first I was super excited because unlike the usual laminate stair nose the 5-in-1 offered a much "thicker" appearance to the treads and didn't introduce a lip over the top of the tread.
However, when dry fitting the laminate planks to the aluminum track and then seeing which side of the plank the 5-in-1 molding and the aluminum track need for the installation it quickly became apparent that it cannot be used on the left side of the staircase... I then went back and watched all the product videos to see if any examples of left side open sided staircase exist. None.
Just feel like this would have been good to know ahead of time.
Otherwise, if you have a boxed staircase or open side is on the right, this product would work and look very nice.

I'm returning it due to incompatibility with my Pergo floor type. It is not clear on the site what is the correct application of it.
Maybe a Pergo dealer has the answers, but for a DIY project, there is no information.
According Pergo's Site, there are different stair nose tracks for each floor type and some requires also an rubber strap that it is not available at HopeDepot or any other store. So, in my case, after hours of researching for a solution, I gave up to use Pergo's floor to cover my stairs and decided to use a old fashion wood steps instead.

If could only be used in one direction and we needed to use it in multiple places with step offs so if it worked in one place it would not in the there other because of the direction of the flooring being laid.
