Seems like they break every 5 years or so
Depending on your water quality and how often you use your faucet, you may need to replace these more often. I've replaced about 4 faucet's cartridges and they were all under 7 years old. Be careful with the bottom of the cartridge. if it comes out, there's like 3-4 parts that will "fall apart" and it'll be a little confusing to put them back together. The last one I replaced was broken into 7 or 8 pieces inside the faucet so I had to pry it out. I added some food grade plumbing silicone to it to help it glide but I'm not sure that's necessary.

Fit perfect, fixed drip
Replaced dripping 7 year old cartridge in bathroom with high usage (same units side x side and this side used almost exclusively). Replacement cartridge fit perfect and fixed drip. Toughest part of job was getting faucet handle off. All handled and good as new.

My faucet was bought and put in by me in 2008. This was the first replacement I needed to do, so if this new cartridge lasts 14 years also, it will be 2037! By that time I may have to have someone else replace for me! Great product!

Works great. My only complaint is that there were no references in the package or elsewhere that the cartridge comes with a sleeve adapter pre-installed. Dang near returned it but after a hard stare at the part realized I could slide the collar off so it would fit our faucet.
