Used for 30 years! NEVER again JUNK!
I caulked an entire house with Phenoseal. All bathrooms and kitchen granite counters. It has dried completely (14 days) and now turns white when it gets wet. YES if you read the bulletin on Phenoseals web site they tell you it may turn white when getting wet. This is not OK even if you say "it may turn white", this mean you have a bad product and don't sell it to us anyway! I have to cut all this out of every counter top I used it on. This is not OK in a $900K house! This will cost me a lot of labor! Will never buy again. I always use phenoseal white and have loved it. The translucent I will not.

The feedback that you have posted on (Clear/Translucent) does not apply to the "Colored" (pigmented) products. We are not clear as to the intent of your post, as you appear to be describing the performance characteristics communicated on this product. As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: “Clear color may whiten when exposed to water, but clarity will return after drying. Quality will not be affected.” The characteristic is common with all acrylic-latex (water-based) formulas and is not unique to DAP/Phenoseal Does-It-All. Cracking and shrinking months later
Used this all over the house last winter/spring and it has shrunk and cracked in multiple places. Attached photo is a 90 degree angle where ceiling molding meets ceiling. I caulked here, waited appropriate time and painted it. Separating months later

DAP Phenoseal Does-It-All is considered fully dried within a few days of application (depending on the joint size, temperature and humidity). After the product has gone through this initial drying phase, additional shrinkage/volume loss does not continue. The "shrinking" that you are referring to is not an artifact of the sealant's internal performance, rather it is the result of tension (pulling force) of the surrounding materials. It is not uncommon to observe shrinkage in many building materials (particularly wood), during seasonal heating. Excessive joint movement can ultimately lead to cracking and/or loss of adhesion. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you about your project and to suggest an alternate (more flexible) product.

Won’t dry
2 days later and it’s like toothpaste. Worthless crap. Elmers glue would have been a better choice. Do not buy, read the bad reviews because that’s the truth. Definitely not an adhesive.

Worked good for gaps between the wall and 1x4's but...
Worked good for gaps between the wall and 1x4's but took 3 applications to fill in the nail holes.
