To run horizontally, how many feet can we go before needing vertical brace?

AnswerHi, we cut the screen to span a 10 foot wide porch. The screen is secure along the top, bottom and sides, but not attached to any intermediate posts. It has been on for two years and has been fine. It has resisted wind without trouble. I think if your screen is fastened well along the top and bottom of your opening you don't need any vertical supports and you can have an unobstructed view. But I imaging a 25 foot opening would have some posts, and you could attach the screen at those points.

some strong screen
I have never seen a screen that I cannot tear a thin 1" strip, except maybe metal screens. The viewing clarity is good. I cannot compare with something side by side but it does look pretty clear. I installed this in a 6'x8' openings in a gazebo and this will last for a long time. in my photo, i took up close and at an extreme angle for you to see the screen but as you can see, the next opening is also screened but you cannot see it in the photo.
