Product Overview

The more you dim, the warmer the light with the Philips household A21 light bulb with Warm Glow dimmable light effect. This new Philips LED A21 offers a new experience for dimmable LEDs by creating a soft, diffused light and smooth dimming from 2700K to 2200K. As the light is dimmed, the color temperature of the bulb is reduced and creates a warm, relaxing ambience. Until now, this warm, dimming effect was only available in dimmable halogen and incandescent lamps. Now, here's the perfect alternative for these household applications where ambience is as important as lowering energy bills and reducing the hassle of frequently replacing light bulbs. This fully dimmable light bulb is ideal for residential use in kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, offices, bedrooms, dens and for commercial use in restaurants and hospitality applications. It is perfect for table lamps or anywhere traditional light bulbs are used, providing a soft white light for a pleasing and comfortable ambience.

I had purchased a 2 Pack of these specific 100W LED Bulbs about 12-14 months ago, and both bulbs failed already...I cannot find my receipt but I did contact Phillips, ( which took almost 2 weeks, after replying to 4 seperate agents/support person responses, over a 2 week period. It went nowhere...and the last response was actually very laughable...They bulbs were both used in our kitchen. ============================================================ Phillips 5th agent response """" Thank you so much for contacting us and for bringing this matter to our attention. We do apologies for the inconvenience caused, LED going out after 2 to 3 years is not a recurring issue, the life of a LED bulb can be affected by many factors like weather, burring hours, time that the product has spent in whole sellers shelves, etc. """""" ============================================================ -- Bulbs were used in doors, so weather is not an issue -- Burning Hours...We had them about 12-14 moths at most ( Bulbs state 15,000 hours, never even came close to it) - Time the bulb spent on a store shelf.? I almost fell off my chair laughing at that response Phillips had given me.... LED's dont die, or deteriorate sitting on the shelf for a few months before they are sold.. Pictures attached

This is a bright white light great for the garage - at 17 watts each - took my single bulb fixture and screwed in a Y for two bulbs and just like that, the equal of 200 Watts of lighting at 34 watts so the old fixture has no issues... And you can now find stuff in the garage! Simple and easy and the LED lights last longer than the old style.

The Philips 100W Daylight LED is bright, dimmable, and LARGE! It’s an A21 not an A19. First of all this is a LARGE bulb...which makes sense because it’s an “A21”, not the more common and smaller “A19”. Same shape, same medium base, but about 25% larger. Look at the comparison picture with the ruler - the A21 is over 5” vs. about 4” for the smaller A19. So just make sure your fixture can handle this longer, larger diameter bulb. With that out of the way, the Philips 100W Daylight LED (model #479543) is great! It’s hard to find 100W-equivalent LEDs, and this one shines a bright, clean “daylight”. It’s “temperature” is 5000K - great for a dark basement or garage. It’s also dimmable. In the picture with two bulbs in a “Y” adapter, this is the one on the left. The one on the right is a “soft white” version. It’s difficult to photograph light, and the in person the bulbs are much different, with the soft white significantly warmer than the daylight - I’d recommend that one for living spaces. Not as cheap as the ubiquitous 60W-equivalent LEDs, but if you need big, bright light, these are worth it.

This two-pack set of LED lightbulbs are a great replacement for any 75-watt incandescent light bulbs you still are using in your home. The light output should equal or exceed it, and these bulbs put out a warm light that is dimmable, and they only use 12 watts of power to do so, thereby saving you money on your utility bill. Estimated energy costs based on 3 hours per day use is $1.45 per year in costs, and the bulb has a lifetime rating of about 13.7 years of life. These bulbs are slightly larger than a conventional bulb, so in tight spaces, they may not work. However you would be able to return them to Home Depot if that is the case. This is the approximate measurements of the bulbs that I got: 5 3/8” high (including the socket part), and then its about 3” wide at the widest part of the bulb. Where are the best places to use these warm white LED bulbs? Experts recommend the living room, dining room, bedroom or any other room where you want soft lighting. Warm white is more relaxing for the eyes and softens the skin tone and reduces imperfections. We all look better in warm white.

This two-pack set of LED lightbulbs are a great replacement for any 75-watt incandescent light bulbs you still are using in your home. The light output of these bulbs will equal or exceed it, and these bulbs put out a cool light that is dimmable, while only using 12 watts of power to do the job, thereby saving you money on your utility bill. Estimated energy costs based on 3 hours per day of use is $1.45 per year in costs, and the bulb has a lifetime rating of about 13.7 years of life. These bulbs are slightly larger than a conventional bulb, so in very tight spaces, they may not work. However, if you buy them at Home Depot, you will be able to return them without any problem. Here are the approximate measurements of the bulbs that I got: 5 3/8” high (including the socket part), and then its about 3” wide at the widest part of the bulb. These bulbs will work fine in enclosed fixtures. They come with a 5-year warranty, however if you register your bulbs, they double the length of the warranty to 10 years! Where are the best places to use these lights? The kitchen, the garage, the workshop, product displays, hair salons, make-up room, industrial applications or any other application that requires a lighting that will represent the real color of an object. Furthermore, cool white is always more luminous than warm white.
