Customer Reviews

100-Watt Equivalent T2 Twister CFL Light Bulb Daylight Deluxe (4-Pack) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 440.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best CFL so far - Philips 82CRI The 82CRI Daylight Deluxe is about as best as you can get with a CFL bulb (CRI). Most of the best T-12/T-8/T-5 Tubes tri-phosphor are 80-90 CRI. Philips is the best, Sylvania is good too. But this is the best CFL I have seen so far. I prefer LED, but CFL must be used for certain applications that need radiation, or that need a certain light. The 6500K is on the bluish white side, but that is correct on the spectrum, like an overcast day. Keep in mind the fixture can change the color of the bulb if the fixture is painted a certain color like off white, ivory, or whatever. Plastic that changes yellowish can do weird things too. That is for the poor reviews of people that do not understand why the hue of the light is different. I installed these for my Grandfather who is 98, and has Macular Degeneration, and he can read perfectly, and can see much better. He uses a light even in the day with sunlight, so that should tell you how his vision is. But he can read with no trouble with these lights.

I have not yet been able to use all of the bulbs, which were actually bought in order to have a surplus backup, but the one bulb I did use worked very well, and the delivery was relatively prompt in arriving.... The price was also very good, as is generally the case when you buy in bulk!!

These take time to get up to full illumination - they are not "instant on" type CFLs. If your use is in a room where you just want to turn the light on for a minute or two (possibly a pantry/closet or maybe an entryway), do not buy these - you will be very disappointed.
