Questions & Answers

How many lumens?

How many lumens?
Asked by: Jeff
Again the lumens are varied by the Kelvin or light color. The higher Kelvin numbers give more lumens. Typically warm light bulbs from 2700 to 3100 Kelvin are considered soft light and look better with wood and warm colors. 3200 Kelvin to up 5000 Kelvin is considered bright white and closer to natural sunlight. These bulbs give off more lumens for similar wattage as compared to warm light bulbs. Home Depot offers many different manufacturers so go to your local store or check Home Depot.com to search for the specific color and lumens that you desire. All boxes typically have equivalent numbers for wattage the old method for comparing bulb brightness.
