While no LED lights provide light as good as an incandescent, this Philips bulb does provide good quality light and does so more efficiently while running cooler than any incandescent. Paired with an appropriate LED dimmer switch, these bulbs also somewhat mimic a real incandescent warming as it is dimmed. So long as you use a high quality LED dimmer properly installed there is no flickering or humming . Highly recommended.

Beware
I bought six of these. I thought they would be a good product since they carried the Philips name. I installed four of these in a bathroom fixture on a circuit without a dimmer switch. After a couple of weeks problems began. Each bulb has four elements. At first they started flickering and then two elements stopped working. At first one bulb, then another, eventually all. None went completely out, only two elements in each, and the same with the spare bulbs. I complained to Philips, and after three trouble reports, they sent me six more bulbs. But now the replacements are doing the same thing.
While I was communicating with Philips, I installed bulbs from another company and have had no flickering or problems.

The absolute worst LED bulb I ever purchased. 2 out of 6 failed within the first 5 hours of use. They start to flicker. Also misleading markings on package. Package says "5 year warranty" but there is no address or contact information so a consumer can request warranty service. Contact Philips and they have no idea what your talking about. Save your money and DO NOT BUY this bulb or any similar warm glow LED from Philips.
Update now have had these bulbs for 3 months and 4 of the 6 have failed.
