These SceneSwitch bulbs require use with a standard on/off switch to cycle between the different color temperatures.

Yes that is how I use it. I have a pull chain, but any switch should work.
Don't get confused like I did. I assumed these were Phillips Hue, they aren't. These are manual bulbs. You have to turn them on and off by yourself.
This worked well for me, good color (not that garish blue/white, but a nice soft tone), and I feel a heck of a lot better not having to replace this for (hopefully) 5 or more years. They don't get nearly as hot as tungsten or CFL so that's a plus too.
Probably only works if you bought by credit card. The box says x days if you have the box but if you register it online then you get the full warranty period. Since I get my stuff at Home Depot they just take it back and give me credit.
