The more you dim, the warmer the light with the Philips Energy Star Certified G25 clear light bulb with warm glow dimmable light effect. Warm glow gradually dims to warm tones of traditional bulbs, allowing you to relax and enjoy a light designed with your comfort in mind. This Philips LED G25 offers a flicker-free dimming that works with more dimmer switches than any other LED on the market. As the light is dimmed, the color temperature of the bulb is reduced and creates a warm, relaxing ambiance. Now you can customize your room for a variety of tasks with one light that lets you go from functional lighting, to inviting, to cozy. Philips Clear Classic bulbs offer the familiar look and feel of traditional bulbs and have a standard E26 medium base. These bulbs can be used in most household fixtures, such as pendant and vanity fixtures in your bathrooms, dining rooms and kitchens.

Does bulb work as an indoor floodlight?

Answer

This bulb is dimmable and will fit the socket in the recessed can, but this would not be the ideal bulb for this type of application. Typically flood or spot lights are used in recessed cans.

I have a series of 5 light poles around the perimeter of the back yard. One of the old 60 watt bulbs went out and had to be replaced. I can't tell this bulb from the old 60 watt bulbs in the other light poles. Not sure if this helps.

Could this be used in an enclosed fixture?

I have 5 light poles positioned around my back yard of approximately 2000 sq. ft. and they work well. I don't have any trees to restrict the light. Hope this helps.

Replaced 60watt incandescent bulbs with these 7.5watt led bulbs to reduce power usage for a 6 bulb bathroom vanity fixture. They are just as bright, if not brighter, than the incandescent bulbs they replaced Very pleased with the results. Hopefully they will last as long as they claim.

ONE day after I installed one of the light bulbs, it came crashing down on to the steps. At first I thought I did not install it properly. At close examination of light socket the the metal screw part of the bulb was still installed. The glass part of the bulb separated from the "screw part". (I did not over tighten) It was difficult to unscrew the remains of the light. I used the 1/2 potato trick to unscrew the metal. Not easy to do this since the glass part that hold the filaments was protruding; so I had to carve my "potato head tool" to make room for the filament holder.BTW, I discovered to broken glass pieces on the steps on Halloween when the kids came to trick or treat for candy. Where was the light bulb made?: I n China where most of your store stock is made!
