Well what can I say as far as installing...it's a light bulb. The hard part is getting the right one, have you been to the store lately trying to find the right bulb, there is like 1,000 different ones now. This one works great, and best if used where you need one to be dimmable to get just the right amount of light. This one is a slightly warmer side of lighting and not the super bright white light of other bulbs, and the type of lighting I prefer. The more you dim the warmer the tones of colors look and at the same time saving over 80% on your electric bill.

I compared these bulbs to a standard 65 W incandescent. I don't have a light meter but to my eye and in the attached picture, the two bulbs put out the same light and at the advertised warm "soft white" color. The 65 W incandescent light measured 59.5W at 121VAC. The box says these LED bulbs consume a maximum of 7.2 W and my measurements showed 6.8 W so that is about 9x more light per watt than the incandescent. I used an LED rated dimmer switch and these bulbs dimmed just fine with no flicker or noise. The box says that if I register the purchase I can automatically get a 5 year upgrade to a 10 year limited warranty. I hope they last the 13.7 years it says on the box.

65-Watt Equivalent with Warm Glow BR30 Dimmable LED ENERGY STAR Light Bulb, Soft White (3-Pack) Model # 548412 I really like the Phillips 65- Watt Light bulbs, because they are more affordable and use less electricity. Furthermore, they are the closest match to having incandescent light bulbs, because they really look alike when dimming down the light. Also, the light bulbs also give a warm color when they are dimming down which make the room feel cozier. In addition, the light bulbs have more life expectancy than other light bulbs. I have used Phillips lights bulbs before they are a amazing brand.

These bulbs are really nice. We have quite a few recessed cans throughout our home and we’ve slowly converted them over from the original incandescent bulbs. In fact, we were early adopters of the the horrible performing CFL bulbs. While the CFL bulbs were really bad, we have found the the LED bulbs are outstanding and everything we hoped for. These Philips LED bulbs replaced some of our last incandescent bulbs in our kitchen. These Philips bulbs are considerably brighter than the 65w bulbs I had. Perfect for our kitchen which has black counters. We have been incrementally converting our kitchen bulbs, but these Philips LEDs are so nice, that I will probably just toss out our remaining old bulbs and replace them with these LEDs.

I like these led flood light bulbs a lot. Used them in my son's room. The old style bulbs gave off too much heat and I'm sure they used a bit more electricity. With a dimmer these bulbs can make the room feel calm and relaxing for watching tv or nice and bright for doing home work or paying bills in your office. Cool to the touch. Will be getting more for my daughter's room.

Work great, and I like that as these bulbs dim, they give off a warmer light than most LEDs, more like an incandescent.
