Any modern Leviton or Lutron brand dimmer that’s clearly marked as LED compatible will work. Though not completely linearly as an incandescent bulb will be.

These Philips bulbs are the best PAR30s LEDs I've tried. The undimmed color is a pleasant soft yet bright white for full lighting. The bulb dims softer and warmer as you dim the light. I first purchased many other LEDs to make a comparison. Since I liked these, I've replaced 24 halogen lights with these Philips PAR30S Warm Glow Soft White. I hope that Phillips will expand this Warm Soft White collection.

LED lighting has really become affordable including this bulb from Philips. This PAR30S (parabolic aluminized reflector) fits many traditionally-sized fixtures and is considerably shorter than standard PAR30 bulbs (see images below). The light produced is a warmer, yellow light that is less harsh than the whitish one currently in use. The beam spreads a nice amount of coverage and is quite bright in spite of the warmer hue. One feature of this bulb is that it is dimmable but my installation was not able to test that feature. This bulb would be great at accent lighting and with it being an LED will save big time in electrical costs.

I like the fact that I can have this bulb bright when I'm preparing foods in the kitchen/dining area but at the slide of the switch it is more like mood lighting when it comes time for dinner. This Philips dimmable LED replacement bulb can be used inside or outside and gives off a wide beam of bright white light. When dimming the bulb, the light gets a warmer look the more you dim it so you can go from your bright white light to a warm cozy glow just by dimming the bulb. This bulb has a 10 year warranty. With 25000 hour life at use of about 3 hours a day, this bulb should last well over 20 years and with the estimate yearly energy cost of $1.27, this bulb will be saving you money even when you use it.

Finally - a GOOD LED Bulb for Bright but Dimmable, Recessed Lighting!
After trying a sample of this bulb, I replaced 8 65w halogen bulbs in our recessed kitchen lighting with these bulbs. These LED bulbs are brighter than the halogens we replaced, and the color at full power is good - none of the stark white cast seen with previous LED bulbs (and don't even get me started on how truly horrible the light from CFL bulbs was - dim and blue) we sampled. At full power the color is indistinguishable from the halogens. These bulbs do not dim down to the really yellowish, almost orange light at the lowest levels we see with the halogens or incandescent bulbs, but they do dim towards a warmer color - better than any other LED to date. This Philips "Warm Glow" family of bulbs provides the best dimming LED to date, compared to any other manufacturer. It could be improved by even warmer color when dimming, but this family of bulbs finally provides a very good and acceptable dimming bulb, and they are significantly brighter for each size than nearly all other LED offerings. We will be finally be replacing other dimmable halogen/incandescent bulbs around our house with this family of bulbs! Now - if Philips would also offer this in the MR series!

Its been a month - so far no issues; pretty bright for 75-watt equivalent. I put it under the bath tub; gives me enough light; no dark spots in my entire bathroom. No need to turn on my vanity bulbs for any reason. This single light is enough; definitely it would save money on the long run

Works fine above my garage door. I’m expecting to save a little money in the long run switching to all LEDs. Where I have it I haven’t and don’t expect to use the dimming feature.

This is a great solution for those of us that want:1) an LED solution to save energy.2) Mimics the color of a dimming incandescent.3) is short enough to provide a low-brightness solution and low cut-off angle in a recessed fixture.

The light functions just as advertised as far as bright white when at full strength and a warmer feel when dimmed to the lowest setting. The only complaint we have is that even at its lowest level there’s more light than we desire. We would have hoped it would produce only a slight light.
