Tunable White PAR38 LED 120W Equivalent Dimmable Smart Wi-Fi Wiz Connected Wireless Light Bulb (2-Pack)

I never heard of a smart light bulb before but this light bulb is amazing!!! Once you install the bulb you need to download an app. Once the app is downloaded you now have the ability to set the brightness of the bulb as well as the tone!! The tone/color options are warm white, daylight and cool white with multiple various in between all from the touch of a button on your phone! These bulbs would be great to have in a family room so that you could change and set the tone of the room from extreme brightness to a calmly nighttime lighting. The app was simple to download and easy to use. Great product!!

This Philips 120-Watt equivalent PAR38 LED smart Wi-Fi WIZ wireless light bulb is a nice addition to my lighting options. I already have several WIZ connected devices and love the flexibility they provide. Set-up is simple on the WIZ mobile app. Once you download the app, you just need to identify a room where you will be placing the bulb and select the type of device, in this case a bulb. The bulb is automatically connected when using the "Smart Pairing" option. The app then allows you to set up a schedule, set up to 4 default options when using the light switch, and set a tone of the lite (i.e. - Different shades of white). I use the light in my front garden to light up the house during certain hours. It's especially nice to be able to change the schedule and brightness without the need to go outside.

PHILIPS 120-WATT EQUIVALENT PAR38 LED DIMMABLE SMART WI-FI WIZ CONNECTED WIRELESS LIGHT BULB, TUNABLE WHITE (1-PACK) works fine and just like what you expect from any wi-fi device. It has all the cool features of varying color (cool white, daylight etc). The pairing process is really easy and i also paired it up with a motion sensor too. The only reason why i did not 5 stars is because even if i set it to daylight on the app, when i turn off the light (physically) and turn it back on, it turns on with soft white light (default) and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that default. Also due to its design, it cannot distribute light all around, but only where it it is facing to. Good for recessed lights etc.

I have to say, I've been holding out on adopting the smart bulbs for my house, simply because I could not find something I was really sold on. Whether the app was junk, or the bulbs would lose connectivity, etc. I just didn't have the confidence to move ahead. That changed last week when I got introduced to the WIZ products from Philips, which is changing their name to Signify. Was I impressed? That is an understatement. I got a smart bulb (typical 100W indoor/outdoor) and was blown away, in particular when paired with the little battery operated motion detector that can be programmed to work with these bulbs. The bulb can do it's own magic through the app, like color and brightness. And you can have certain schedules for the bulb to come on/off, be used as a nightlight at night, and on during certain hours/days. Truly a smart bulb. But when paired with the motion detector, you can have certain settings apply when it detects motion and when it hasn't seen motion for a period of time. This is a standard indoor/outdoor FLOOD light (not a spotlight) by all appearances, but once you start programming it you can see it can be tweaked to be different versions of white (no color on this one, just different shades of white). Maybe you want a cool white or warm white? Maybe you want daylight? Maybe you want the COZY type light as it's called. All programmable through the app. One concern I heard from my own family was "What if I want to turn the light on and I don't have the app". No problem. Turn the light switch off, then on, and it'll come on for a preset light mode like daylight. Do it again and you'll get the next preset which might be warm white. And so on. There are 4 presets. So you can manually override the light. And when someone is around with the app, can put it back on schedule. So you won't be left out in the dark as they say. I would highly recommend this to ANYONE who is contemplating going with smart lights. They work, the app works great, and the choices are endless on how to set up this bulb for your specific needs. Awesome platform and look forward to expanding my smart bulbs and motion detectors for them to automate the process of turning lights on and off, which is really so yesterday isn't it? Once you use them, you'll see what I mean. And in the times of pandemics, not having to touch the same light switches everyone else has been touching is a really good thing. And no more leaving lights on beyond the timer setting when nobody is in the room.

It won’t connect to WiFi (?) Help

Kinda trash like the rest, but better than Philips Wiz. Depending on your light fixture, you may not get Wi-Fi to the bulb. My phone shows -43dBm by the light (airplane mode), but bulb keeps dropping. Don’t waste your money.

The bulb keeps disconnecting from wifi, while another bulb sitting even farther away from router works perfectly.

The flood light was easy to install and sync to the Hue hub; however, this and all the other Hue lights do not stay with the "last time used" setting...it goes back to the default brightness of 100%, even though, we have "programmed" them to be at 50% each. It's annoying that I have to reset the brightness EVERY night. We even tried to program the setting under "room", instead of each individual light bulb; still doesn't work.
