how much does this weigh? is it recommended to use on vinyl floor seams?
It's very lightweight and under 1lb. I would recommend using a tool designed for vinyl. I used it on wallpaper and it could of been better.
If I already have a wallpaper smoothing tool, would I still need this Seam Roller? This is actually for a wall mural.
No . I don’t think so . But this little tool is good to have it around get the job done better .
If it's for a vinyl wall mural you stick on the wall then no you probably don't need this. This is strictly when you hang wallpaper and you've lined up your seams to make sure the seams have enough pressure to stay down
This is an inexpensive simple tool with a variety of different uses. It does a good job of closing/rolling the seams of a light to medium thickness wall paper (you probably need a heavier duty roller for thick wall papers - structurally, I don't think this one will be able to take the pressure needed for heavier papers). But, I also use it often for evenly spreading wood glue on joints and/or sides of the wood laminating hard and/or softwood. For the price, I think I would go ahead and get it - you'll find different uses for it in the future. Good luck.
