convenient, semi-disposal, good value
I use these trays for 4 inch roller work. If latex, I wash it out. If oil based paint, I leave leftovers dry and set it aside for that color paint. In terms of holding the thin, floppy tray, I use hot glue to glue tray to slab of plywood a little bigger than the tray. Careful not to melt hole in tray. Then I just carry tray by its plywood base. Works for me.

I love using these little trays with the mini rollers. In my opinion it saves paint. also they are easier to carry around for smaller projects.

Inexpensive, disposable tray
It is nice buying cheap, disposable trays like this because it is easy to buy multiple and not hurt the wallet. They hold up well, I haven't had any crack and they don't leach any paint through them. I have owned several, but mostly it is best to dispose of them after the job. I have had some hold up for a couple of jobs but that isn't the majority. After heavy use they are pretty toast.
