Q:does this stick to toilet rim with tape or some type of adhesive?
        by|Jan 5, 2022
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  It doesn’t need to stick. It sits in the rim. Instructions are included in how to use it best. Also there are YouTube videos. Key is to ensure that it doesn’t move when plunging.

Does work but takes 2 people
All the air pushes thru the weep holes under the rim of the bowl and out the overflow tube in the tank. Instructions say to cover with a wet rag and that you may need someone to hold that rag in place while you operate the PlungeMax. Yeah right! "Hey honey, I blew up the toilet, will you come in here and help me so I don't have ro use the regular plunger?" Wife: "I don't think so".

Hello Customer - this is a different style of plunger and just like any plunger, you should follow the directions to use it effectively - and while it is different - it is also sanitary and doesn't go into the bowl or become gunky. In your specific application, you may be able to solve the issue with a traditional plunger. Thanks. pfwaterworks

          Great tool
It takes some trial and error to make the tool apply pressure. Once you know the how to do it, it is the best plunger-alike tool. The only downside is that it does not fit perfect on some Kohler bowls

          Dumbest thing ever
This thing is supposed to use air pressure in the bowl to force the clog toilet clear. First off, there is nothing to keep the air from going out through the tank! Take the tank lid off and watch as it pushes water, air, and unmentionables up into the tank! Second, the benefit of "never touching the water" is true, but it does touch the bowl rim. If you have those that stand up to pee in your home, then this is likely not a clean area. I mean, come on, when you clean your toilet and lift the seat, is that area clean enough to touch before you clean the toilet? No way in our house. Get a traditional plunger with a deep flange that sticks out to cover the tank output in the bottom of the bowl. Yes, it can be messy, but it will unclog the toilet.

Dear Customer, Thanks for your comments - and while we do appreciate customer's feedback on their experience of our product, in your case it appears that you did not actually purchase or use the product - and are just expressing your opinion. In the case of plungeMAX though it touches the rim and though the rim may not be clean as you said, however there is opportunity to clean the rim using a paper napkin before using PlungeMAX - however no traditional plunger that goes inside the bowl can come even close to PlungeMAX in terms of being sanitary. It appears that for you "touching the rim" is same as "going inside the bowl full of gunk" - it is purely your personal perspective and not something that many people will agree with. Your comment about functionality is not accurate, the PlungeMAX does operate well when used properly as directed - which is no different than following directions to seal and clear clog with any regular plunger. If you still have questions, please reach out to us at sales@pfwaterworks.com and we will be happy share a lot of details including functional videos of the product and answer any specific questions you may have. pfwaterworks

Previous Review is from someone who needs more practice...
Doesn't involve the tank at all...I was one of the early reviewers of these and then couldn't find them to buy one! They work absolutely well and don't touch the water or anything unless possibly if you flood the toilet to the rim.... If you completely expland the device by fluffing it up and place it properly under both the lid and the seat all the way back to the hinge, FIRMLY bringe all three (LID, SEAT & DEVICE) down as one unit without fear placing all force down in one motion, it WILL force the blockage down the drain! I have NEVER had a failure yet. It can be disconcerting when the bowl is a little too full, but it WILL NOT go into the tank, regardless. Toilets aren't designed that way... Trust the design and send it!

It is not as easy to use as portrayed. You have to seal the tank as well as holding it on to the toilet rim and then pushing the lid down. Definifely a two person job ar least.

Hello Customer - This is a different design of plunger and jus like any other plunger it has to be used appropriately - what you have described is the extreme situation and not required unless the clog is really stubborn. Also, in such case, it can still be done by one person by first sealing the overflow tube - and then plunging. There are videos to show how to use the PlungeMAX most effectively as well as detailed instruction on the product and package. You an always contact us at sales@pfwaterworks.com and we can offer support. Thanks. pfwaterworks
