Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late Fall and early Spring applications. Plush color recreational coatings are 100% acrylic, high performance, non-fading all weather color systems for use on tennis, basketball and other recreational surfaces. Plush color will adhere to asphalt, emulsified asphalt and suitable concrete surfaces (never before painted concrete must be properly prepped via acid etch and primed with E330). There are three key functions that provide the foundation to Plush color’s coatings: playability, durability and vibrant, fade resistant colors. The entire Plush color line is acrylic based and low VOC making them easier to clean and easier on the environment.

  • Plush color acrylic color should not be applied when ambient temperature is below 50°F or when surface temperature is above 140°F

Do I have to mix with water/sand? Can we just pour & squeegee?
Asked by: Joey
If the paint feel too thick, I recommend to water it down with 1 or 2 bottles of water. I do not recommend mixing with sand. I like to use a regular paint roller and a paint brush to do the trimming.

5 gal. Tournament Green Recreational Surface Coating is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 21.

I started to use the recommended squeegee in the beginning and wasted too much paint using that method. Luckily I had a big roller as back up and switched to that. I was able to paint all the court and managed not to run out of paint using the roller metheod. The whole court used up 50 gallons. If you are using squeezes , order double (100 gal) and you can always return the unopened cans but this way you will not have to worry about running out of paint in the middle of your project.

Followed all instructions and applied 3-4 coats of paint on the court. When I first put the acrylic resurfer and waited two days, nothing happened. The court looked nice and well touched. I applied 3 coats of acrylic (black). Then the next two days, followed the instruction and began applying the plush green. A week after applying the Green coating, three fourth of the court got bubbles. I called and explained the issue and costumer services tried to give me different issues as to why the bubbles came about. The representative first asked if I purchased the black acrylic from them, stating that that was the issue. I said to them yes I did purchase the black acrylic from them. Home depot ordered the materials. He then shift'd the issue from the problem being the black acrylic to the heat. Told me I should've applied a concrete sealer. When I told the representative that it did have a sealer prior to putting down the black acrylic and the green plush. He then asked me if removed previous coating before applying the new one. Told him yes I did, I removed majority of it with a power washer. He then told me they'll get back to me in a week and it's been two weeks now. I orders about 15 black acrylic resurfer and 15 green plush. I have not heard back from the company or their representative. Seems that they are trying to find a reason to justify why the court got bubbles rather than taking responsibilities. But for anyone who buys this, ask for a warranty on the product so that if you encounter the same issue, you can get something back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tennis Court Resurfacing Paint It's just paint so what can you say. Downloaded instructions, a little confusing and uncertain as to how much it would cover. I mixed the water and sand as one of the examples stated and it worked fine to squeegee on.
