12 oz. Vegas Spray Paint

Paint covers my outdoor plastic statue with ease. I did not sand this plastic statue and just sprayed the new paint onto the statue. I was surprised when the paint did not drip and it covered the plastic well. The paint was dry within the hour and I was able to move it to a new location. If you have ornaments that require a new fresh look, I would definitely suggest picking up a can of Plutonium paint to brighten your landscape.

This review is for the Plutonium 12oz Vegas Spray paint, Satin. This pink paint is a really nice color. It's vibrant but not too strong. The cap was very easy to get off not like so many other cans of of paint. The can came in a timely manner and was well packaged. It also is a nice size can , the paint did have a strong odor when first sprayed but dissipated whe put outside.

Plutonium is a high-volume low pressure(HLVP) color delivery system. It breaks all the old spray paint rules, in a good way. It uses less propellant to deliver more paint. It delivers 21/2 times more paint than other spray paints. Directions say to hold 5"-9" from surface. Unless humidity is high, than 1"-2" from surface. The higher the humidity the quicker it will dry. The paint can actually dry in the air and give a dusty finish. It dries in 3-5 minutes, yes 3-5 minutes! It is mold, mildew, and fade resistant. The dual valve system allows upside down spraying with no clogs. Plutonium has interchangeable caps. This allows a range of 1/16"-10" wide pattern. It will not crystallize if used with other brands of spray paint. It was a cool high 60's, low 70's, low humidity in FL when I did my projects. My garden pig got blown along with the leaves and nicked up. I didn't fill in the nicks before painting. It took me 23' to spray my garden pig. This included set-up, prep, 2 coats and place back in the garden. It took only 15' to do the flamingos. That included taping off their beaks, and eyes. I intentionally left some of the coral pink on to layer the colors. I was done with both projects from set-up to clean-up within an hour, yes an hour! I was able to apply the second coat on both projects within 3 minutes. I was able to pick up, turn over etc., no tack. Both projects with 2 coats of paint, and dry time took only 6 minutes each. Absolutely amazing color, and finish. Smooth just like when I spray my walls. I thought for sure holding the can that close I would get drips, or sheets of drips, none. I could feel the pressure in the can on the second coat. Like it might clog. Turns out I needed to shake the can more. There was no odor from this paint. I was able to paint with the garage door down. The paint is expensive. For me it is worth if for a great smooth HVLP finish done within minutes. For a utility project that is not time sensitive, no. But, for something nice this is the way to go, even if you own a sprayer. It is the fast food of sprayers, lol. The only negative is the directions for spraying are on the back of the can. For dry times, etc. on the front of the can. It would be nice if it were in both places. As far as negatives go it is one I can live with. The FL heat, and humidity takes a toll on stuff outside. The end of the season will show how mold, mildew, and fade resistant this paint is.

Based on description and reviews I had high hopes for this paint. Unfortunately the humidity in FL caused the paint to form dust-like particles instead of spraying uniformly. It complicated the surface I was painting. Plus required a lot of shaking to mix the paint because of the thickness of it. A plus was that it did dry quickly.
