Could this be used as roofing sheathing for a patio cover roof with exposed rafters?
Asked by: GaryTheSnail
whenever I am sheeting a roof with 1/2" OSB or CDX plywood, I give the client the option of utilizing 1/2" AC with the good side down for appearances when there is no soffit planned for the overhangs.

I dont know who can write a review on this product except for people who never seen good wood siding before. Yeah its price cheap, but its also far from adequate for being used as a exterior siding product. Its obvious that home depot dont give a hoot what they sell these days , the standards are way below reasonable and usable. THE MILLWORK IS AMATEUR and like a few people here have said its falling apart before its installed. Look at the joints, all the rib lines have cracks somewhere along the joint, something you can't have for exterior use. It needs to be watertight. A quality lumber yard charges about 10.00 a sheet more preprimed, and in respectable condition, and will meet the specs, when matching ,and doing repairs from old homes/buildings . Dont let these corporation keep screwing us, there ripping us off. This material is worth about 10.00 a sheet, but in my professional opinion" its worthless"

We were stuck with it as the handyman was already on site and ready to work. The backer panels were very inferior grades of wood, many with lots of knot holes that had been filled, it looked like, with asphalt. Many of the front panels had splits that, even though he tried to avoid using them in his cuts, will have to be filled now that they're nailed way up high on the gables. Guess this 82 year old man will have to crawl up the ladder and attempt to do it himself. I would not recommend buying this product.

My order had a piece that was broken and had evidence of attempting to repair it. I wrote to the manager listed on the order slip but received no response. I would not recommend having material delivered to your home and will never order material this way again.

The Plywood Siding Panel T1-11 were very good for my new workshop doors that I built. I also have used them in he past to build a garden shed at the PS 32 Belmont Children's Garden. I primed and painted them and they are holding up very well. The panels are solid and durable. I had no problem cutting them. I also was able to mount hinges on them with no problem. I like the finish and the design of the panels. I treated them with Thompson's water sealer for the winter. I recommend these plywood siding panels for various outdoor projects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from T1-11 Exterior Siding De-Lamination Recently purchased 144 sheets of both 4x8 and 4x9 19/32" 8 "O.C. Siding for replacing existing builder grade vinyl siding on a remodel. Product came in two different shipments from two different manufacturers. Surface appearance was mixed between both shipments as well as between the 4x8 and 4x9 material. Some were "rougher" than others - noted during stain application done in heated garage prior to installation; however house aesthetics is to be a rustic look, therefore overlooked the varying surface appearance between the different batches. Installation started February 29th and by April 1st first set of 4x9's started delaminating along 8" O.C. grooves. Some sheets now have multiple surface "bubbles", as well as surface delaminating. Since house siding is now fully complete as of last week, the delamination is now "creeping" along the entire east and south-facing walls of the house. Don't understand root cause other than that of a poor process quality issue at raw material supplier; however, at this point based on multiple suppliers used for product would not recommend purchasing. Odd - current primary residence (37 yrs old) does not exhibit any of the above. Very disappointed in manufacturer's product performance. Waiting to see how resolution process works as advertised warranty is "none". Entire house will have to be re-sided and re-trimmed as well as re-stained... lots of time, energy, and money in finishing product as well as installation labor lost.
