A:Â Pole-Wrap can be applied to a ceiling. However, because the product is a flexible paneling, it will need to be supported in many places while the adhesive is setting to insure even contact with the flat ceiling surface. You may want to consider using a pin nailer.

Q:Could this be used outside?

Answer This Question
A:Â Pole-Wrap can be used for outdoor applications. But, like any other wood product, you must first carefully caulk around the edges and apply an oil based primer. You can then use either oil based or latex paint for your finishing coat(s). Be sure to use all exterior grade products to adequately protect the wood from weather. If you prefer a clear finish to show off the rich wood grain, use clear caulking and simply apply a couple coats of an oil based polyurethane or marine varnish.

As Advertised
This product worked perfectly as advertised. The instructional video was spot on... It really enhanced the look of our finished basement as the lally column's paint had chipped and rusted.
I did make one modification on installation. I chose to wrap the pole wrap with electrical tape instead of painter's tape. The electrical tape provided more clamping power as it stretches when pulled.

Nice way to finish basement pole
This pole looks nice when finished. It was difficult to bend the pole wrap in between each panel, which was required to get the wrap to be flexible. The backing is like cardboard and could be ripped if not careful. Otherwise, installation was easy. Just used contractor adhesive to stick to the pole and it is very solid in place. I painted the pole wrap white to match our decor. I sanded in between coats of paint to smooth it out.

I actually used the wrap on a wall behind a mirror. It was easy to cut and glue on and was an easy affordable DIY project for an update in the bathroom. Would recommend for lots of different types of projects.
