Perfection!

From the depth, to the length, the three drainage holes and the texture, I couldn't have asked for a better planter. This planter is 46"L x 17"w x 12"deep, super modern, versatile, weatherproof and light weight. I certainly would recommend this beautiful piece to add to your collection. Modern and Sleek Planter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited about this trough style planter. It is simple, but classic in design. I know my picture doesn't do it justice as I was just "playing around" with silk plants I had on hand. We are moving soon and this is going to look fantastic up against the iron railing. I put four six inch potted plants in the trough and had to build it up with bricks to give them height. Guess it depends on your plant of choice. The planter itself is sturdy but lightweight and has drainage cut in. Love this!!

Beautiful Planter !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I start creating my front porch in my little piece of heaven and i was looking for a nice big planter and i found it with this PolyStone Planters - Riviera Short 46 in. x 12 in. Black Trough Planter, it is so beautiful, already got the holes on the bottom, great size, looks heavy but its not, it is very well made. right now i planted Sunflowers but at the end of summer i am gonna plant lettuce and herbs in it, i just love it !

Lighter Weight Than Expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting the planter to be heavy, it’s actually quite light. The planter had more of a foam feel than I thought, I expected it to look more stucco. I liked that I could reposition the planter easily since it really didn’t weigh much empty. The planter has fairly generous sized drain holes in the bottom so I actually decided to put landscape fabric in the bottom with some broken up pieces of styrofoam to keep the planter lighter and so it will drain well. I use commercial garden soil because I am planting cucumbers and marigolds in my planters, they do so well in trough style planters. These planters blend in well with my other planters and are the perfect size for medium size plants. These planters are a much better alternative than ceramic pots and are actually pretty sturdy. I love the PolyStone planters they are well made, look great and my plants do really well in these.

Great Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect size and height for that flower or garden bed. This has a texture look giving a real cement visual. Adds a nice impact on your house appeal and sits nicely against your home. Great for outdoor use, can take any weather. Strong and sturdy, yet surprisingly lightweight! I appreciate the drainage holes, no worries for rain or accidental over watering. This is exactly what I was expecting.

This is a wonderful planter, but I was worried that the drainage holes would plug up without rock...
This is a wonderful planter, but I was worried that the drainage holes would plug up without rock to semi-block them. The thing is the drainage holes are large and I had no rock big enough size to keep the soil in and let it drain.
I got some pots to put in the planter that had smaller holes and the rock that I had would not fall through those holes. These pots are hidden except from a top view and when the plants (not planted yet for fear of frost on new plants) grow, the top view will be of the plants leaves and flowers.

These are great troughs, very light weight, but very strong and nicely made. I have two of these and will be buying more. They are made in America and built to last. Plus, they come in one piece with nothing to put together. This is very large, 46 inches long. This one will hold my herbs, garlic and regular chives, which I grow year round - even here in Washington. So far, I’m very impressed with these troughs and I’m ready to fill them with soil now to make sure the manure fertilizer I use doesn’t burn the herbs I plan on planting in the Spring. I’m getting them ready now. The drainage holes are in the center, so they need to be leveled, but in my opinion, they look nicer leveled anyway. What a great find. I like the look, the quality, the large size, the light weight, and am happy to have a place to do a small amount of easy gardening. And, no moles can dig up my plants. These troughs can be used for flowers, herbs, vegetables, or really any kind of plant. I am very pleased with this planting trough.

We ordered 6 of these to line the front of...
We ordered 6 of these to line the front of our deck - the size, shape and color is exactly what we were looking for. Hesitant to leave a review because we have only had these a short time and I'd like to comment on the longevity/durability of these containers, but they seem decent. They are surprisingly lightweight, and I hope that doesn't mean less sturdy in the long run. They seem to get dirty easily and show fingerprints if you're moving them around. Seems overpriced for what they are, to be honest. Over $200 per container is a little steep since they're made out of a styrofoam-type material that I am not sure will resist damage long term
