1 qt (or 1 bottle) for every 10,000 gallons of water. Add slowly while filling pool (with well water) and before you add chlorine. This is a sequestrate. You want to wait before adding the chlorine because the the metal will rust and fall to the bottom and need to be vacuumed up anyway.

I have used 8 bottles of this stuff to try and get the rust out of my pool. It didn’t work. I had to make a filter to get the rust amount down. It’s been a long process and would not recommend this product at all.

I made the mistake of putting too much pool copper sulfate in my 22000 gallon in ground pool. After using 4 quart bottles of metal out (only use two bottles at the time) (2 applications) it clearer the water. It takes about 48 hours for this metal out product to work. The water PH needs to be adjusted into range first. Have to use this product with almost zero amount of chlorine in the water. Its ok to use chlorinated tablets during this time.Ran the filter in recirculate the whole time.It collects the metal in the water and sinks to bottom of pool to be vacuumed out. Waited 7 days before adding other chemicals to get all chemicals in balance range.Compared to some other brands this product was less expensive to use. Yes I would recommend this product for removing metal (copper) in pool. It works with giving it time to do its job.I would definitely choose this product and use again if needed.
